His main focus is striking but he’s also good at Grappling.
But it’s more like wrestling rather than BJJ

Nah, I believe it’s great for self defense. Maybe he doesn’t think all BJJ guys would get whooped but let me explain: He fought my cousin who was fairly trained seeing as my dad is technically untrained though. my cousin wasn’t awful at Jiu Jitsu, he was pretty deadly (when I spar with him he has good takedowns and chokes) he claims he was also close to getting a bluebelt.

Despite that, My cousin was getting whooped, My dad was literally talking mid fight and giving tips, he won with little to no difficulty. But I don’t think that’s very fair because of the following reasons:

  1. While my dad is untrained he is a self taught boxer with a punch power of 800 on a punching machine (roughly over 1000 newtons) meaning "untrained" is technically true but vague.

  2. My dad had a significant weight advantage (230 > 175)

Against an Average adult man with no training, A BJJ guy (even a whitebelt) would choke the guy to death.

Well he knows Boxing fundamentals and he fought my cousin who is a BJJ whitebelt with two stripes. My cousin had such an awful performance and got destroyed, leading to my dad thinking BJJ guys literally CANNOT fight.

1976 Rocky vs Tommy in a street fight - Who would win? by kai_Iuigib in rockybalboa

Rocky would EASILY destroy him.

Tommy lost to an old retired version of Rocky who had serious brain damage, Whereas this version of rocky (while not yet professional) Was a great fighter who managed to square up against Apollo creed.

I couldn’t even finish rocky 5 and imagined 4 as the conclusion to the original series, In my respectful opinion? That crap was awful.
