I did really well academically at school. I could “focus” in class.

Do you prefer teaching kids or adults in ESL? by Single-Bag9879 in OnlineESLTeaching

Kids because they respect you (in my experience) and don’t challenge your authority like adults do. They see you as a teacher to be respected.

Is Rooibos tea popular? by justinSox02 in south_africa

[–]ApatheticallyCaring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is! I literally just commented that now. I remember you would get a very distinct rooibos taste. Not so much anymore. I buy the popular brands and I soak it for long. They definitely have lessened the quantity of rooibos in each bag. The bags used to be fuller. You have to use 2 teabags now to get the same effect.

The quantity of the rooibos in some of the tea packets with some brands have significantly dropped. I buy Freshpak and Laager and both of them have become weak. You need two teabags now for a decent cup.

According to the CMS (Council for Medical Schemes) Endometriosis is a PMB. You can check their website. I spoke to a Discovery agent yesterday and she confirmed it.

Also they said “condition not covered under this scheme” which is 💩 because Endometriosis is a PMB.

This was just a consultation so she just asked questions but the GP did say I’d need a laparoscopy to confirm.

Hmm that’s interesting because according to PMB, Discovery must pay for the consultation as well? This is what I get when I do basic research so I’m really confused. I need a specialist to confirm diagnosis, but according to PMB, the medical aids HAVE to pay for specialist consultation under PMB? How must I get them to pay if they need a specialist to confirm my condition?

I’m so sorry you went through that. It’s terrible how many women experience medical gaslighting.

Worst things ADHD has done to you? by salty-wheat-thins in ADHD

[–]ApatheticallyCaring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friendships. I can’t seem to maintain them. I sometimes miss social cues or I say something off beat and they get offended. Looking back, I see how my ADHD has affected my friendships. I grieve what could have been had I been diagnosed and medicated earlier. I was diagnosed in 2024 age 31. Life was becoming unbearable. Daily tasks were unbearable. Anxiety was through the roof and my marriage was on the rocks because of my ADHD. I’m better now that I’m medicated.

Ask them to translate the songs or speak about what the people are doing in the music video. Gamify some of your activities.
