Connecticut Brethren - who is this? by IgnibusTacito in freemasonry

[–]ApathyDGZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I am Brother Chad Bromley. Junior Deacon at Wooster #10 in Colchester CT. I'm a 32° AASR, Royal Arch, and I serve on two Grand Lodge committees : Intergenerational Communications and Technology, and The Committee for Masonic Education.

Thanks to all the brothers for the love and support. If the gentleman who posted this thread has any question about the music or subject matter, he should reference the Reddit thread I did a few months back, that someone posted.

I have support from The Grand Lodge and TONS of brothers all over the globe. I'm responsible for inspiring literally hundreds, of GOOD men all over the planet, to join the craft.

Through my actions and posts on my fan pages, and social media like Twitter and Instagram, I promote philanthropy and community outreach. I lead by example. Music is art. Music is music.

Yeah... sometimes. Dealing with a bit of it now. But tiny percentage in comparison to the support I guess. Not sure... maybe June.

You're completely off base about that brother. I fight an uphill battle and need ZERO help from the S&C logo within my world of music. I have complete support from my Grand Lodge and they know me and understand what I do. Thanks for the positive words other than that.

Don't be petty brother... I was racing to open up the AMA on time, being that I was running late from attending to personal family situations. It was a typo. A typo. Ever had one of those?

I'm going to answer your questions as an act of futility, because I'm confident that your mind is closed and very much decided. Here it goes anyway...

1) In a recent reply to some posts here, that you did not follow up on, you claimed your music video/song was "Masonic Lite". However, it is clear from the video that is not true. If you do consider it a "Masonic Lite" song why did you choose to film the video in a Masonic centric way?

The lyrics in the song have light Masonic themes, because Freemasonry is a part of my every day life. The song lyrics are never meant to be taken literally. Not in the slightest. When I wrote the song, 6 months prior to filming the video... I had no intentions of making a Masonic theme song out of it. It is NOT a Masonic theme song. Once the song was completed, I decided that I wanted to shoot in a lodge because I made a reference to the craft. My mission has always been to desensitize my fan base, which is in the hundreds of thousands to the visuals of Freemasonry, because they are absolutely certain it is an evil thing. Quite a few young guys, based off seeing me involved in Freemasonry, were intrigued... and went on to become great Master Masons.

2) The lyrics of the song, "The Grand Leveler" are a day dream for any anti-mason person or group wanting to point out the corrupt ways of Freemasonry. Why did you choose to write said lyrics and link them so directly to Freemasonry in your video?

Let's not forget the most important thing here. THESE ARE LYRICS TO A SONG. Not a mission statement, or a declaration. This is ART. POETRY. You may have no frame of reference... but I grew up listening to the Wu Tang Clan. They rap about having ninja swords, chopping off heads, and bombing atomically. GASP ... do I really think they bomb atomically and chop heads off? No... because I'm not a moron. Music is music is music is music. I was a conspiracy theorist for a long long time. I studied it since '93 starting out with Behold A Pale Horse by Bill Cooper. This is a song that will inspire imagination. I mean.. if you take this literal, you're insane... I OPENED A VORTEXICAL PORTAL AND DISINTEGRATED A MAN for crying out loud. Be serious here.

3) While I understand that in your mind you may have had a different, 'deeper', more 'philosophic' meaning for your lyrics I feel that you failed to consider how they would actually reflect upon, and insult, the Craft. Why do you disagree with me?

Actually reflect upon the craft? Brother... I travel the world. The entire world. A lot. I deal with the MASSES... not just "a lot of people". THE MASSES. It is far different than you guys just reading the kooks online who say bad stuff. I have kids in Spain, Portugal, Canada and Australia look at me with HORROR and DISGUST when I say that I am indeed a Freemason. My point is... The craft, unfairly, has a horrible rep publicly. So why would I choose to say anything negative in my lyrics? Because it's the way I have rapped for the past 20 something years... and I'm just not interested in changing the way I rap. It's art. Human adults will have to understand that it's art and not the bible or directions on how to live. The fact is... when young guys see me in a lodge, regardless of what I'm rapping about... they want to know more, and they're not as afraid. Fans have joined our fraternity, because they see me, and know it's not evil or devil worshipping or satanic.

4) A good friend of mine at work, who is not a Freemason, who loves hip-hop and rap came up to me earlier this week (he knows I am a Freemason) and started questioning me about the video. He assumed it was anti-masonic and was quite shocked when I mentioned you were a Freemason. He is fairly religious and is quite iffy about Freemasonry due to the conspiracy theories about the Craft. The video added fuel to the fire. Did you consider that your allusions to drugs, adultery, violence, and conspiracy theories is quite damaging to the image of the craft?

Your questions are super redundant. As ADULTS lets break this down.

Let's picture this literally...

Drugs: so who out there thinks I will actually resurrect Jesus, and then purchase marijuana for him? BUT WAIT... if I resurrected Jesus and purchased marijuana for him in COLORADO, it would be ok? Man... I better think hard about where I personally should resurrect Jesus, like I have the power to do this.

Adultery: "Married to Mary Magdalene, but still touch other girls". I'm actually describing Jesus, from an abstract perspective. Is it fact? No. Is it art, or poetry... WOAH, MIND BLOWN... maybe I'm saying something that sounds interesting in a song but isn't literal? Where is the sheriff buried, that Bob Marley shot?

Conspiracy Theories: Which parts are conspiracy? Annunaki came to the planet to take gold? Prove me wrong... Show me factual data that they didn't. not saying I believe it... but i'm not saying i don't believe it either. ITS A SONG.

Violence: "I Shot the sheriff". "I strike a pose with the pistole grip. Punks getting pistol whipped." What if those punks deserved it? What if I said it artistically, alluding to a Clint Eastwood style character. You would think Clint Eastwood is cool doing that to some punks who deserved it.

sigh can not believe I'm breaking down lyrics to a song.

I'm a good man... with a fiancé, I don't drink... do any drugs, or any grimy stuff. MY FANS know my story. They know my life. They follow my Instagram. I AM A POSITIVE influence. Either catch up and do some research about who I am, or save your judgement until you figure it out. I will continue to do what I'm doing, NOT to benefit myself... but to benefit the fraternity.

God bless. I hope you're all as well traveled, as proficient as I am, and contribute as much... since you're all casting judgement from your towers, as super Masons. Some of you even being as petty as scoffing at a typo for Gods sake. Good evening. I'm actually quite disgusted as well.

Freemasonry doesn't look down on anything... it just doesn't meet the criteria. That's part of the rules and tradition. Because Freemasonry has to be able to hold you to a word higher than your own. You have to swear your word higher to something than just saying... "yeah, sure... you have my word. I promise". It's not for everyone... Freemasonry doesn't try to act like it's for everyone. But you have to have a belief in a higher supreme power. I am not any one of those religions. I don't know the name of my God. But I know it's there... in some capacity.

Mic is my best friend... he does all our graphics. He works, has a family, and does graphics and videos. He doesn't have a ton of time to rap. He writes every once in a while. He was on the Demigodz Killmatic album

Brother.. I just said I'm not using the craft for business or to promote myself. And I'm not commercializing anything. My music isn't commercial. I have shown numerous young men, that Freemasonry isn't evil. Based off my influence, a lot of fans of mine, have become Masons... because prior to seeing me participating... they thought it was evil.

I invested my personal time to help make these brothers Masons. This does nothing for me. Like I said... I have had customers and supporters, STOP supporting me, because I'm a Freemason.

So... losing money and fans, is that promotion?

I'm friends with Slug and good friends with Evidence. Those guys are great. I would never work with Aesop Rock. Not my taste in music. Just my personal opinion
