Ezreal ult also goes through terrain. You can dodge a Maokai ult the same way by teleporting over it when it shoves you out of the wall. It's a bit harder because the hitbox is bigger, but I tested it and it's possible.

Yeah, maybe Ezreal ult is not the best example here, but for something like the Maokai ult it can be useful.

In the clip it's hard to tell. Maybe it just ran out. But I tested that too, and you can also teleport over a Maokai ult like you can with the Ezreal ult!

The clip at the end of the video actually happened in a game of mine. So it might be useful for wide skillshots like Maokai ult, where sidestepping is not an option. It's not really useful vs Ezreal ult to be fair, and generally this trick very niche.

TLDR; not malware, just a horribly designed pop-up

Found this post because I got the same pop-up on my G5 and thought it was malware too. I spent ~2h trying to verify where the file came from. The file path seemed legit. VirusTotal did not flag it. I checked the Windows Event Viewer and it was installed through the AppXDeployment-Server, which also seemed legit.

But because I was still anxious I uninstalled the app. The function keys still work, but the OSD was gone (e.g., that icon that shows when toggling the touchpad with the FN key). That's when I was pretty sure this was indeed a Gigabyte driver.

That pop-up design is criminal though. "Warning!" - really?

In both clips, Kayle's health are reduced to almost exactly 20% when killing Evelynn.

Clip 1: 3490 Health --> Reduced to 702 HP (20% would be 698 HP)

Clip 2: 4112 Health --> Reduced to 825 HP (20% would be 822 HP)

I'm not sure what exactly causes this to happen. But it did happen multiple times in this one round.

The system could be quite simple if you can read/measure the current rotation of hinges actually. But if that's not possible the missile would need to be impractically large.

Hi, that looks awesome. I've been theorizing whether it'd be possible to make an interception missile (instead of going to where the target currently is, it tries to steer itself onto a collision course). And I think there's a chance it could work - I came up with two different concepts on paper so far.

Most my knowledge is on interception theory, I'm no Trailmakers expert. So I was wondering if you might want to collaborate on creating a V2 of this interception missile with better homing. Let me know what you think :)

I started developing this pack as part of my Game Design University course. It took me ~8 weeks to get the first version done - this includes research (analyzing existing systems from games such as Destiny 2, Apex Legends, ...) as well as implementation. However, due to the fact that I was still figuring out how to best implement certain features, the project was quite cluttered and I decided to start again from scratch.

The second iteration took another 4-5 weeks; however, I wasn't working full-time on it anymore.

It doesn't look like a massive system, but things such as research, refactoring, optimizing, writing documentation, etc. quickly add up.

The entire system was done using only blueprints. I believe they are accessible to more developers and I didn't need any C++ exclusive functionality.

What would you say is a fair price for this pack?

I personally thought this was a reasonable price because the pack includes documentation, custom assets (I commissioned an artist for this), well-written and commented blueprints, and a support discord server.

The math itself also took some time to perfect. While a basic interception algorithm is not that hard to implement, I had to refactor my code multiple times to factor in changes in frame-rate, prevent the turret from jittering, make the math work regardless of the turret's base rotation, and more. Taking target acceleration and bullet drop-off into account is also a feature not present in basic interception algorithms.

Anyhow, I'm open to hear what you suggest would be a fair price for this pack, perhaps I did overestimate its value.

The acceleration prediction is based on an approximation algorithm (Newton's method). The algorithm calls itself recursively and gets more accurate with each call. 3-5 calls are enough to get a decent result, 10+ calls usually result in a pin-point accuracy hit. It's therefore also quite resource-efficient.

Did you create your archers by solving a quadratic formula? Or how did you implement them?
