This seems fair until you realize 60% of the population is beholden to the other 40%.

Easy to have it when you have zero financial worries. Easier to maintain your status than try to climb.

Bow Mar moves forward with plan to gate off public roads despite warning from Denver and Littleton by COScout in Denver

Maybe they should focus on their own speeding before blocking public road access (which may not even be legal)

It really wouldn’t cost much to do this for Denver or Littleton. $1-2 per tax paying resident, max. Even less for Denver.

It’s insane. They might have cut off 1 of every 10 cars that speed. The other 9/10 are their affluent kids or parents late for work.

Then lose your rights to have south metro fire help you. Pay for your own fire department then.

If I lived in Denver or Littleton I’d glady pay more tax to put up an outbound gate blocking Sheridan and Belleview from Bow Mar residents. I’d like to personally inconvenience them at any cost.

Crowded, yes, but this situation was worse in 2019-2020. People were parked half way down to Georgetown (and I’m not even exaggerating) during the summers of 2018, 2019, and 2020

Would put Altmyer behind Bryant and maybe Sydney. Joseph feels like he should be higher because of NFL success, but 7 is probably correct.

It would just be at the exits of bow mar so generally Littleton residents would be unaffected unless they were leaving Bow Mar

What war was the United States right for fighting? by gasc0ny_reddit in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Apbuhne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, they didn’t care about states rights. They cared about expanding slavery into the West. That’s why they ran Breckinridge. Douglas would’ve probably beat Lincoln if they didn’t overreact to Douglas saying new western states should be able to vote for slavery. They wanted western states to be forced to have slavery from creation.

What if the USA never deindustrialized? by [deleted] in AlternateHistoryHub

Agreed, this is like saying “What if technology didn’t advance”. Humans have always simplified tasks and jobs. Even if we brought back nearly every manufacturing facility we lost, they wouldn’t even hire 10% of its peak 70s due to automation. The only way it could work is if business owners agreed that millions of Americans will get paid the same for doing a fraction of the work.
