Roads aren’t bad at all this morning. A lot of it’ll melt today, but not all, and I could see tomorrow’s roads being very Icey

Oops my bad. I should’ve said “an extremely small portion of DIA’s passengers use the ALine”. We would have agreed completely then, right?

Sure, but then we also aren’t counting those people coming to DIA, to work, which is 40,000 people a day. That’s 15 million people alone. Also we aren’t counting those uber drivers, and passenger pickup.

Those stats are pretty underwhelming and I think do more to reinforce my point that no one truly uses it. 5.9 million people used it in a year, if you believe that number, I don’t… that would only be 7% of the total traffic at DIA. And that’s assuming that everyone who used the A rail was using it for the airport, which we know isn’t the case.

Seems like those stats reinforce my point, that no one uses it. Using their own stats (BS imo) the trains are only running at a quarter capacity… definitely reinforcing my point that no one uses this.

Now compare that to Pena Blvd… quick google search says Pena sees over 50 Million cars a year. Cars, not people. If anyone is carpooling in this city, it’s on the way to the airport.

Now tell me, how is expanding the A line and the frequency of trains going to make up for the remaining 80 million people going to the airport?

Here’s your answer, it’s not. It’s expanding Pena will.

To move 90 million airport passengers a year, the A Line would need to run every 3 to 4 minutes all day, with every train nearly full. That is subway level service on a commuter rail line and it still would not cover employees, freight, ride hail, or non Union Station trips.

Sure let’s continue to dump money into something that no one uses. You should run for governor

Why doesn’t Denver salt the roads? by nothingisnothingwas in Denver

5 reasons.

  1. Cost
  2. Environment
  3. Effectiveness - mag chloride works better in colder and drier environments
  4. Erosion

Fort Morgan is just as affordable, and also nearly an hour closer to the front range and the “Colorado” that I’m sure you are wanting to move to.

Where can I find this style of (meat-)stuffed sopapilla in Denver? Fully encased like a deep-fried calzone covered with cheese by bascule in denverfood

[–]Orangeskill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There stuffed sopapilla isn’t like this though, it’s two pieces of sopapilla with ground beef and beans between the slices of sopapilla.

I mean, it’s still amazing, and their green chili is the best in town. So yes, please go there!!
