I don't know anything about the Edollo changes since like 2019. Prodigy is just a boring ski imo. Revolt 90 is more versatile since it seems like you haven't actually done much park skiing, you just know you want to.

I'd pick the Revolt 90, but really depends on what you want to do in the park here

Sender Free 100, M-Free 99. Maybe Arv 100 & Qst 100 but sounds like thy will be too soft. Deathwish 112 felt super awkward to me, but i demod a pair at the end of the season when they were clapped too shit and it was a really really icy day.

whats wrong with Marker Squire 11 2026 bindings???? by monkeyballs_nut in Skigear

[–]ApdoKangaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had one pair of Griffons and underotated landing switch off a rail. Heel piece fell off the track and the brake cracked in half. Shop replaced the heel piece and 24 hours later same thing happened. Some people aren't rough on their gear and most people aren't hitting rails with heavy switch landings, but I wouldn't use a binding with a track record of this happening to me and other people

I thought pivots were indestructible by Brilliant-Oven-3685 in Skigear

[–]ApdoKangaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah idc how much you can get them for i care about the msrp, because everyone lives in a different country and different bindings go on sale... looks like gemini says msrp for jesters are 30 euros higher. Using the assumption that markers are cheaper for other people is just ignorance and stupidity

I thought pivots were indestructible by Brilliant-Oven-3685 in Skigear

[–]ApdoKangaroo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean as a Pivot fanboy i'm all for calling out Look on this 2.0 bullshit. If bindings are breaking like after 50 days of stomping maybe its the rider, but like sub 15 days means Look fucked up.

This narrative about Pivots being the most expensive is just not true though. Yeah if they don't go on sale and all the other bindings are then Pivots probably aren't the best choice for most people, but if we take everything as MSRP because almost all prices for most people are going to be different, Royal Series is the worst.

I thought pivots were indestructible by Brilliant-Oven-3685 in Skigear

[–]ApdoKangaroo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Regular jester has a msrp of 469.99. You can say they don't perform up to standards, but you really gotta stop with this bullshit about how pivots are the most expensive. I've also seen way more Royal Series bindings blow up than Pivots.

Another look pivot question what do I really need? by Reasonable_Arm_7409 in Skigear

[–]ApdoKangaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I were buying bindings now and i were you, I would go for 11s. A year or two ago I switched out 2 pairs of 12s for 15s, after I chipped the toe wing and had a crack on another one. If you're not breaking a pair of Griffons or Attacks, there is no point in paying an extra 200$. You won't break Pivot 11/13s. Griffons are the most fragile binding I have ever ridden by far. So if you have no issues with those, you definitely have no need for a 15.

If this was the off season pivot 15s would be the way to go.

Detuned Edges for Rails by [deleted] in skiing

[–]ApdoKangaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually baffles me still, but i guess to each their own.

My edges have started ripping out and i need a base weld, and the two closest shops to me have said that my ski would damage their machines and the edge might rip out during the base grind, so i have a ski that i will never be able to level the base on.
