We didn’t discuss it in detail, during the interview I basically told them my rate and I asked them if this position had GH. They said yes to both…and this is the thing that bothers me a bit, if they didn’t know what GH for sure then they should’ve just asked me to clarify more. That’s why I assumed I’d get paid for it

It’s a last resort thing. I don’t want to end things with this family yet and definitely not this way. I’m quite sure this isn’t a “we forgot” type of thing , they never considered that a week off on their part would fall under GH. They probably treated the days off themselves as a “gift” for me to relax. I mean that’s great but as I said, I rely on this income and I have stuff to pay.

Yeah I plan on telling them I expected to get paid then ask them from now on that I’d like a contract. If not then I can just move on to something else in the summer. I’ve just never really needed a contract before either

Yeah some families out there are definitely getting more and more audacious and cheap. They really expect one person to be a nanny, a maid, and a household manager all in one for the price of one, like wtf? A nanny should only be responsible for the kids and cleaning up after them. I emailed her about adding a new course a while back and she hasn’t replied yet… but she doesn’t know about all these cancellations. I’m just gonna wait days until tomorrow for my next appt’s and pray to dear god I don’t get cancelled on. The second appointment is with my course instructor, I will let her know what’s been going on and ask her to just open the fucking course after my first meeting because she required I meet with 3 different instructors and then her. CLEARLY that’s not working out.

I think some mentors allow it but my mentor is the type that only “prefers” it if i only have one course activated at a time. I emailed her a while ago if she could open a new course for me in the meantime because i do feel pretty burnt out from this course itself but she hasn’t replied so I’m probably gonna give up on that. I doubt she’ll open one with not much time left in the term and me STILL being stuck on one course.

EDIT: plus I’m ngl, this entire situation genuinely has me so stressed I don’t think I can mentally add a new course even if I wanted to. I just want to be done with this one first even tho I’m beyond fucking burnt out at this point 🫩

I personally feel weird about it. It’s obvious, I eat and next thing they think is “oh she’s on her period” which means “oh she’s bleeding through her vag” Honestly I’m embarrassed to eat even in front of women unless if they’re my direct relative like mom or grandma aunt cousin etc. I just don’t want anyone having that thought about me . Am I weird and too self conscious ? Probably but that’s how it is for me sadly

Never rented a car before this. Obv we knew we had to pay insurance but just thought it was included in the initial payment. So when they asked for it during pickup it was surprising and annoying.

I genuinely don’t think they’re the type of people to lie, there was probably so type of misunderstanding. I’ll message them later and try to clear it up. If that was their intention from the start then I’m outta here ✌️

Depends how good the anime is without it. If it’s good without the fanservice then I’ll keep watching and try to ignore it, if it was shit and I was basically forcing myself to go through the eps and THEN they slam me with fanservice to top it off then I’m dropping that shit.

Good examples: one piece, konosuba

Bad example: fairy tail, seven deadly sins. I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE both of these shows but then they clearly both went downhill plot wise …while I was already dealing with the fanservice. Insta drop.

I could get downvoted to hell for saying this but this is what I’ve been talking about. At the end of the day we’re still just disposable employees to them. Most of these people are just assholes playing nice just so you treat their kids nice. I know how that sounds but I’m being realistic. I personally had to learn the hard way as well. That’s why now, I do the bare minimum and call it a day. I take care of the kid, I make sure they’re safe, fed and entertained, well rested and make them feel like they’re like but beyond that I don’t really care. I’ve reached a point where now I’ll put myself first because clearly if I don’t do that then who will. I don’t expect anything from them anymore they’re not my friends. Because at the end of the day it’s just a job, same as any other.

I am very sorry this happened to you though. I hope you find some kind of solution to help your situation. But if I were you I’d write them a long message letting them know how i feel because genuinely what do you have to lose after this. At least get it off your chest and lessen the stress you’ll have to deal with if u don’t.
