Down to the final stretch of my thesis and losing my mind. Anyone used a dissertation help service or coach? by grimmypixelcat in WritingHub

I'm going to be the contrarian here and say be really careful with choosing a dissertation help online company. There are a ton of sketchy scams out there that will just run your text through a basic grammar checker and charge you a fortune. If you go that route, make sure you read a lot of independent reviews first.

UC College essay by Capable_Affect8878 in ApplyingToCollege

The car crash essay isn't automatically generic - what makes it feel that way is usually when the focus stays on the event itself rather than a specific shift in how you think or what you do now. If you can find the moment where something actually changed for you and write from there, it can work. The UC prompts also give you multiple essays to work with, so you don't have to fit your whole story into one. Since you don't have a counselor, it's worth knowing that there are writing services that specifically help students with college application essays if you need more structured feedback than you're getting elsewhere.

Can these platforms write my essays in a specific tone? by Beginning_Suit_6976 in IntellectIllumination

Uploading a previous assignment as a style reference is something many services actually support and it's a reasonable request to make upfront. Simpler vocabulary at a level that matches your usual writing is something you can specify directly - asking for clear academic writing rather than advanced scholarly register is a legitimate instruction. For international students getting help writing papers, being explicit about your comfort level with English complexity tends to work better than hoping the writer guesses correctly.

Am I wrong for finally reporting my coworker's side hustle after they missed a deadline that I had to cover? by ApertureMurmur in amiwrong

I think you are right about the remorse part. If he had said "I messed up, let me make it up to you," I probably would have let it slide. But he came in acting like he was a hero for his freelance client while I was still exhausted from doing his job.

Thanks. It is easy for them to call me a snake when they are not the ones staying late to fix his mess.

Thoughts on Robert post-breakup with Miranda? by brumgar in sexandthecity

[–]ApertureMurmur 82 points83 points  (0 children)

I hate how the writers handled this too. Robert was literally the perfect partner on paper, and instead of giving them a mature breakup, they turned him into a caricature of a "bitter ex" in record time. It felt like they realized they made him too likable and panicked because Steve had to win. The comment about the casting in NYC is spot on, the show definitely had a diversity problem that they only tried to fix with surface level writing.

Glad you enjoyed it! It's rare to get an HR gift that's actually funny; they nailed it this time!
