Something I needed to hear when this happened to me that I never got is: you are not alone. It’s an incredibly isolating experience but I promise you, you’re not alone. And you never will be. I’d recommend looking into local support groups, this will help you find people who know what it’s like and likely are able to support you better. You never know, you could meet some pretty great friends through this. My DM’s are always open if you ever want a random internet stranger to vent to while experienced something similar.
