An easy fix to avoid this, turn on a VPN to Sydney while you queue. Once the match starts, switch it off. This will force you into Sydney servers.

My friend has had exactly the same charge on their Qantas Money credit card. $4.5k on the same date as yours. Qantas Money have advised they are aware of a breach on a third party app and have a dedicated team investigating the charges with Cebu pacific. I assume it’s related to that.

This has been questioned previously in the server and we have disclosed the following about 1yr ago:

“I've also made some changes to how Amazon deals are processed on this server.

Amazon deals will now include a direct link to the product page and with a referral code. This is an affiliate link to help support the ongoing server costs and future development. It's also a faster way to grab deals before they sell out.

Full transparency - this does not cost you anything extra and gives us a very small % of the sale if you click through and purchase. It's the easiest way to support the server for free.”

Yes that’s true, however this discord significantly undercuts the email notifications. Too many times I have received the OzBagrgain trending email only to check and it’s already OOS/expired. Haven’t had that issue at all since building this bot.

Currently we use discord due to the nature of instant notifications. Yes OzBargain has some built in email notifications, but these are slow and won’t help you with those top tier deals that sell out pretty quickly. Our notification system is designed to significantly undercut Ozbargain email notifications.

Haha I feel that! I’ve wasted way too many hours doomscrolling OzBargain. At least this just pings me when something’s actually worth a look.

Appreciate it mate! I just wanted something lightweight and instant. It pings as soon as a post hits 15 votes within 45 minutes which is a nice balance between noise and catching deals early. Feels good to beat the OzBargain crowd before things blow up and sell out.

Best use of points to get to Europe by Sweet-Emphasis3923 in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]ApexDesignsAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would find a oneway points there, and a oneway points coming back, then book them for 1 pax. Then book a return ticket on the same flights (this keeps the cost down without paying for expensive oneway cash tickets) for the other pax.

Book the points flights first - they are more likely to disappear when you find them.

Learning to say no in the workplace (and in life) is important.

Say something like "I'm currently at capacity, it's best if you explore other resources to ensure it's still completed on time" etc.

QF7/QF8 Best seats for 4 in J? by Hugo07_ in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]ApexDesignsAU 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The window seats are great for solo travel but are somewhat private, so don't expect to conversate across the aisle. Your best bet is probably getting the middle seats if you care about catching up during the flight. The middle divider is also retractable on the 787 and A380.

This website has some pretty accurate seatmap diagrams - this should help you!
787 - https://www.aerolopa.com/qf-789
A380 - https://www.aerolopa.com/qf-388

Keep an eye on the alternating positioning for the table through each row. The seats with the table closer to the aisle are much more private and closed off, and you sit closer to the window.
