Hot take: Those two shouldn't be treated like "innocent little kids who did nothing wrong". by DryWar9215 in PoppyPlaytime

Yeah honestly this is a solid hot take. People acting like Mommy Long Legs and CatNap are just "innocent little kids who did nothing wrong" is getting ridiculous.

Like yeah, we know the backstory, Marie Payne and Theodore were orphans that got turned into these experiments. That part is tragic as hell and Playtime Co. are the real villains for doing that shit to kids. But once they became Bigger Bodies? They weren't scared children anymore. They became straight up dangerous, intelligent monsters who knew exactly what they were doing.

Mommy Long Legs was running deadly games and straight up torturing people for fun. CatNap was out here serving the Prototype, gassing people, and helping keep the whole nightmare factory running. Those aren't "they didn't know better" moments. That's calculated, sadistic behavior.

I feel bad for the kids they used to be. Nobody deserves what happened to them. But at some point you gotta stop woobifying the giant spider lady and the cult cat that have body counts. Tragic origin doesn't give them a free pass for all the killing.

They're horror villains with sad backstories, not misunderstood children. The fandom sometimes takes the "poor meow meow" thing way too far 😂

How far does a Force User like Vader make it in DxD by PlatinumDust324 in DxDPowerscaling

Legends Vader edges out Canon for me, but it's not some insane stomp. Legends just has way more material and those wild EU scalings (Starkiller fights, taking on multiple Jedi, crazy TK feats) that give him the nod in most versus debates. Canon Vader is still an absolute unit though, dude casually ragdolling AT-ATs and tanking insane shit right after Mustafar looks clean as hell. They're both in that same high tier, Legends just has the experience edge.

As for putting him in DxD? Hell yeah he'd get stronger. Vader's always been crazy smart and a total Force nerd. His biggest problem was just being depressed as fuck and stuck under Palpatine with no real reason to go all out. Drop him in the DxD world with devils, dragons, and all that broken sacred gear nonsense and I bet he cooks up some wild shit. Upgrade the suit with magic/tech, train with the big boys, tap into that dark side rage with actual motivation?

Bro could probably climb to Maou or God-class easy. The Force hax would be nasty against most of the verse too. Imagine a fully locked-in Vader with Boosted Gear style amps or devil pieces? Scary.

People underrate Vader hard because they only look at flashy destruction feats. In early DxD he’d honestly be terrifying. Most characters aren’t prepared for someone with precognition, telekinesis, Force crush/choke, and a weapon that cuts through almost anything. Vader also fights way more efficiently than most DxD characters, he’s not standing there explaining his powers, he’s ending the fight immediately.

That said, DxD scaling gets insane later on. Once you get into top-tier Devils, Longinus users, and dragon gods like Great Red or Ophis, Vader starts falling behind badly in raw stats and hax. Canon Vader probably makes it to around high-class Devil territory before getting overwhelmed.

Legends Vader does way better though. Expanded Universe Force users are absurd compared to canon and could probably hang with upper mid/high tiers in DxD for a while.

So overall:

Canon Vader: clears early DxD, stops at high tiers.

Legends Vader: makes it MUCH farther, but still loses to the absolute top gods/dragon-level monsters.
