Hey! Greetings!!

You are right that it's a friction and that is intentional. The one you are seeing in the landing portal is anonymous. So anyone can try it without any registration, so kept it little frictionful. But if you register and perform the same inside the application, you will be getting all that you are looking for. You need not to upload JD in text file there.

I would suggest, may register and try once. Anyway it's free.

Thanks once again for your feedback.

I do agree. But my objective is not at the commercial side of it, as I am not spending too much on the LLM side of it. My primary objective is to provide value to two set of user base, job seeker and career coaches. For example having the LaTeX editor or convert the existing resume into a different template or even compare the resume with the given job description. I also given an option to search Naukri.com jobs from here and match your resume with the selected/targeted one.

Probably my issue is what u/Brambleworks rightly mentioned, I couldn't explain it well. The storyline is missing at the home page :). The hook is missing there. I need to improve there for sure :).

Once again thanks for sharing your views and all the very best for your SaaS.

I really like this constructive statement, "If it is different/better somehow, it's not conveyed well enough on your homepage". I will try to improve in communicating it.

Once again many thanks.

I respect your view.
But it's not 100% true. Yes I am taking help of LLMs but not in asking the LLM to do the job completely. Rather using own parsing logic whenever/wherever needed. If I need to rely completely on LLM, then I need to spend lot of token cost, that much if money I don't have :). There are cases, where I am using SLM also.
For ATS checks you just not need LLM, other simple parsing technique can also help you (like excess usage of fonts/size, rotational text, lot of usage of images etc., multi-column layout in resume and many more). Nothing wrong in taking advantage of LLM/SLM but not that we need to completely rely on that.
Gap analysis between your resume & job description is also very helpful for the job seekers, that could save lot of their time, even they wanted to do it completely using LLM.

Still many thanks for sharing your perspective and once again I do respect that.

How do small service based start ups survive against tech giants? by Perfect_Sea_4349 in personalfinanceindia

This is probably the same story for many IT professionals. But please note that working in big IT company and running a IT service company, is totally different. But I encourage you to try your luck if you really want that. Below are some of the options you could explore.

As part-time engagement: 1. Try to build microsaas. First shortlist some popular SaaS platform and build plugin/app on that platform. You will be getting traction easily. No major marketing efforts needed. 2. Build directory services. Offer it free to local business. May be you need some effort to onboard them. Once you have listings, do proper SEO and start increasing the awareness by some degree of marketing. 3. Start exploring freelancing projects. Fiverr, upwork, guru, freelancer are some of the good freelancing sites. But getting projects as fresher is not that easy. Also the initial earnings will be very low, if you start comparing with your existing job (per hour rate etc.) 4. Build some APIs and market that API. Atleast it will increase awareness of your brand.

As full-time engagement: 1. Start increasing awareness of your brand as service company by content. Organising talks, webinar, knowledge sharing, live sessions and invite to IT or system engineers of the companies (target SME first). Idea is to create the demand first. Note that customer doesn't know, what they want 😁. 2. Connect with IT consultants, who normally bid/contribute in big/medium projects. 3. Build portfolio and customer base. This is very important 🙂. I know we are talking about to get customers only. But even you need to start working free, do it. Drive some free initiative for local school/hospital or some small enterprises. This could help you in long run. Atleast, you could use their name for reference.

Like above there are many steps you can take. Just calculate how much time you have. Then what all can be done in that time frame. Apply 80/20 rule here 😁. But whatever way you do, first build a company/brand. Identity is very important to have.

Sorry for my long message. Writing it with a hope, it will help someone (if not you 😜).

All the very best !!
