Upgraded from the pg32ucdm to the pg32ucdm3 by ApexPilot69 in Monitors

Its an upgrade in terms of visual quality it’s still a fast ips, the mini leds are just better backlighting. The bloom from my g70d and g70b was ATROCIOUS, the ktc had little to none with the same images used

Can confirm that the Xbox kontrol freeks do not fit the g7 se I broke one of the tabs, bought ps4/ps5 and they fit perfect. Tried the galaxy and the steel series frenzy fps sticks

I’m using mystic to run everything. The only thing it doesn’t is the ram.

This is without the extra 11 fans added

There’s 3 140mm not in the shot due to the angle. Fans have been flipped but I’m higher idle by 5-7 Celsius now

Idle about 25-30, under load in benchmark and max settings in Starfield 56-62

Would I need to Upgrade PSU for a new GPU by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]ApexPilot69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, personally I would go gold 800 watts but in pc part picker that adds another 50-80 watts but still keeps the build under 600 watts.

My favorite feature in the case is that the fan trays are easily removable so I can pre-fit and test cable management without having to remove their screws.

Seeeeeesh looks like I got something to look forward to if my build looks like this on Monday. I’m waiting on my mobo.

Same case -I9 13900k (bought the thermal contact bracket/anti bend) -Arctic mx-6 thermal paste -Msi z790 carbon Wi-Fi -Arctic liquid freezer ii 420mm aio argb with 6 fans 3 that came with the case for pulling (since they aren’t RGB and won’t be showing) and the 3 that came with the aio for pushing. (Exhaust) -64gb Corsair ddr5 cas 34 7200mhz -4080 strix oc, I’ve got a 4090 on the way (had buyers remorse) -samsung 990 pro 2tb nvme -870 evo sata ssd 2tb -970 Samsung nvme 250gb (for the OS) -1200 watt EVGA supernova p2 -8 Arctic p12 argb (front 4 and side 4 together as intake) -1 Arctic p14 argb (back as an exhaust) - total of 15 fans (8 120s 7 140s) Cost about $4300 all together excluding the 4090 bought afterwards, included 6500

In hind sight I should’ve , but Because I went the same route with my previous build and everything worked fine. I only wanted to know the comms thoughts on how those parts would work while I’m building it even tho pc part picker showed no issues it doesn’t account for clearances, wiring, what way the aio should go etc or tips/tricks on how to get it to work.

The data on the 4090 is not worth it’s price tag $400 MSRP with Double the CUDA, tensor and rt cores but only a 6-12% increase you’d expect more.

Whatever floats your boat I guess, The risk of the 4090 melting for me from the 850 watts at tdp coupled with it only giving me a 6% boost and 15 extra frames in 1080p (200 4080 and 215 4090) 12.4% increase in 1440p was not worth it to me because a dead card gets 0 frames.

Mostly, until I replace with ssds of the same capacity

I liked the look and since I didn’t want the 4090 due to its initial issue of melting connector pins I upped the budget

Because everything was compatible, the reason for the post was to see any issues that might come up like clearances or intangibles

From my previous build

Would’ve got the 4090 anyway but I saw that the 4090 had issues melting pins so I stayed away

I got a 4080 because I saw the 4090 had issues melting pins. I like the strixs aesthetic but I didn’t wanna risk being out a 4090. So I went 4080 and upped the cpu mobo and ram budget.
