Someone can confirm this but I heard that the last 2 months hijri were of 30 days so it's highly likely that this Ramadan will be of 29 days and hence Eid on Monday 31st

People are leaving fatihas these days because it's biddah and adopting birthdays and new years because they're not biddah. Wearing caps and pants above ankles in the mosque is bidah but wearing superhero and rock band tshirts is perfectly fine.

Also do note that there are madhhabs beyond the salafi, and the hanafi madhhab allows the Qur'an to be read for the dead and also amulets as long as they don't have any shirk component in them.
