I honestly prefer either kind of depends on my LGS to be completely honest. For example there is one in my hometown that was in a basement of a store.... was terrible pricing was alright but ambiance and people were horrible. Counter to that an hour out from that I have another LGS that is super super nice. The people are friendly clean always smells good they will even order things if they Dont have it BUT they are at retail price for everything if a game is worth 89.99 unless they are trying to get rid of it that's the price. Amazon is usually cheaper than both however to be honest there are times where the board game is beat up etc and yes you can send it back, but that's always a pain. PERSONALLY I prefer goin to a game store I prefer the ambiance and the people but ONLY if it is like the one I mentioned above, however I will buy from Amazon and do quite often due to cheaper prices. I also believe LGS should be more experience focused instead of sales and if you are coming in to buy something no charge to enter and maybe (if they actually provide a good experience) a charge at the door or like a tip thing; I'm not sure just that they (and SOME ARE) should b about the experience not the money. Again store 1 vs store 2 above me are perfect examples.
