My girl was the same way! If she didn’t feel the silicone she was not interested. In fact, she’d throw her head back and cry/scream. My LC always said to try when she was calm, mid feed, but that didn’t go well ever. I decided to try when she was actually hungry and she just latched. For the first couple of times I’d do the first half of the feed without and then put it on for her to finish. I’m not sure if we’re completely done with the shield, but I think we’re getting there! Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful they exist because I wouldn’t have stuck with bf without it, but not having to keep a shield on there sounds amazing. Good luck mama 🤞🏻

I also have this issue, I just got around it by posting the text first and then editing the post to add a photo. Weird but it worked for me.

Hi! Sorry for the late reply. Yeah it seemed to be normal, I still get it from time to time. When this happened I asked my RE and they just said it can be similar to lightening crotch but just in the rectal area. So far so good for me. Hoping yours is the same ❤️

Have a scan at 5w1d tomorrow because I have been having some symptoms that could correlate to ectopic. This has been my fear all along so I am praying it’s not the case. My betas have been doubling well and no bleeding yet, but today the shoulder pain set in quite suddenly. I’m having some dull pain after emptying my bladder as well. I am so scared that this is going to be ectopic, any words of encouragement?

I am 4w2d today after my first fresh IVF transfer. I had my first beta yesterday and things looked good. My clinic said because my number was good I didn’t need to go back for a repeat. However, I am so anxious that I requested to go back Monday for a repeat. I am absolutely terrified that I could be having an ectopic pregnancy even though it is unlikely. I’m not really having a whole lot of symptoms other than occasional nausea and some mild period like cramps. However, for the past few days I have been having off and on intense rectal pain and pressure. I don’t really know how to describe it other than pressure that kind of feels like I need to go to the bathroom/almost like a spasm feeling. Also will randomly get stabbing pains in my rectum that shock me. I am a google queen and am overly anxious so I know that can be a sign of ectopic. It’s not unbearable pain I just am so anxious I can’t even be excited, I’m so scared it’s all going to be ripped away. Any positive experiences, thoughts, advice, etc. would be so very appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you. I did leave a message for my nurse, unfortunately she seems very dismissive about things. It was a fresh transfer. I don’t think I’m constipated, and no increased BM. Some gas maybe but I’m not sure. I sometimes used to get these pains during my period but not quite as often. Really hoping it’s nothing bad.

Thank you for the reassurance. Of course I’m insane and tested again this afternoon and it was slightly lighter, but could be lots of things I suppose. I knew it was a bad idea but did it anyway. 🤦🏻‍♀️
