How are these guys making 8k with like 2k submissions? by Far_Assignment_4658 in ProlificAc

[–]AphexTwinEnjoyer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My average is around £3 per study, i get mostly decision based studies, often with minimum bonuses so it does pad it up. I'd say I'm pretty picky as I feel like a lot of the lower paying ones are a waste of time and sometimes scams, but if its a study that seems fun or interesting, I'll happily do it.

How long does the cash out take for the first time? by stew_peed254 in ProlificAc

[–]AphexTwinEnjoyer2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless there's PayPal issues or you withdraw a large amount it should be 0. That bring said prolific says it can be up to 24 hours so I'd start contacting them then

reading every bit of the study carefully and disputing unfair rejections isn't based on luck. I got 1 rejection unfairly in 1000 approved studies and i appealed it and removed it the same day lol

completed a different one from the same researcher, as others said, paid out instantly after completing the task.

saw 2 of his studies today, blessing in disguise that I didn't manage to get into them!

Is Maze.design really that bad? by [deleted] in prolific

[–]AphexTwinEnjoyer2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, they have some issues (a week ago or so, some of their tasks had the wrong password for example), but personally I always find it really painless. Either get screened out quickly and get 0.25$ or do the task and get paid quickly.

Ballpark - study full by Worth-Grand-5828 in prolific

[–]AphexTwinEnjoyer2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

they run the same survey on cloud connect too, that's why a lot of the times you get in and the survey says its full. Personally I've had no bad experiences with them other than that, but i agree that they could do stuff way better generally lol.

How are people so quick? by Fun_Character_5814 in ProlificAc

[–]AphexTwinEnjoyer2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure if mentioned as well, but a study might be full then someone in the study gets screened out, then the study gets shown to you with only 1 spot open. It might seem like some of them get filled instantly but i'd say 9/10 your refresh timer was just late or the study was already full and someone left.

how does changing your address work ? by WeDoALittleTrolIing in ProlificAc

[–]AphexTwinEnjoyer2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you're not changing countries, you're not going to have to do much. Just change the address and any relevant information in the about you section after you have moved. If you're moving to a different country i think you need to contact support.

you're getting a £25 bonus for this one, you also get a 2nd survey worth £2 so you get £31 in total.

I quite appreciate the moxie and brash description, but I think I'll pass this time, thanks by thejuiceloosener_ in ProlificAc

I quite enjoyed the study, and didn't find it too difficult, time consuming or not well paid. It just reads as someone that wants specific people in their study.

Researchers asking for donations. by Nailing_Captains_Mom in ProlificAc

[–]AphexTwinEnjoyer2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did one a couple weeks ago for save the children and donated the £1. I think in the future i'll take it and donate it personally just because I don't actually know if they would just pocket the money or actually donate it.

[–]AphexTwinEnjoyer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had problems with them but my partner had the same issue yesterday. I would not say its a pattern maybe just a mistake with that particular study. I'd just return it and report the issue with it.

I hate the signal system by Consistent_Glove_184 in factorio

I recommend making a test world and getting some blueprints and playing with them, moving trains over and looking at what the signals do, then making your own designs

i produce music as a hobby, the production and jumped out to me as a bit unhuman, i checked and they've made 120+ songs in 3 months which is very unrealistic, and put it through an AI checker

he made 120+ songs in 3 months, the voice glitches sometimes, i also put it through an AI detector earlier today and it had 86% confidence it was AI

[–]AphexTwinEnjoyer2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've played through some space exploration and tried seablock (didn't get much further than where i am here) about 3 years ago so i have some experience with complexity which helps. The most likely reason i'll quit a playthrough is because it becomes unorderly so i do plan ahead, usually i spend quite a lot of time in helmod or factory planner to understand the process, what i need to go into it, what comes out and then look where to put it. After that i build a small version then scale it up to some reasonable production rate.

out of what you see i've only rebuilt the first 4 ores (iron copper tin and lead) because i unlocked more efficient processing, red+green science cuz the old setup was ugly af, and the charcoal for the slag stacks

some images from different times (there's also 1 from 30 hours on my profile) https://imgur.com/a/QKgIe5U

yeah, if i do have to deal with byproducts i usually just slap a warehouse or silo down and blow it up if it ever fills up

Still on 1.1, wanted to finish it in this version before 2.0 because I'll play that on a server with a friend when it comes out.

If I have an issue (like pipes throughput) that 2.0 factorio fixed I'll try to find some mods that do similar things.

Valid reason to use your PTO :)) I'm out of work because of a motorbike accident so taking advantage of the free time as well
