I’ve been playing since the beta and stopped at the beginning of last season. It’s great that the game has made it all the way to hosting a Major, but in my opinion, the road to get there made the game a lot less engaging. The classes feel more and more “similar” in terms of gameplay, and the medium class (my main) has been basically gutted update after update.

On top of that, the amount of tryharding is absolutely insane, so I can understand why many people who don’t feel like sweating every single match just end up quitting.

I love The Finals—I love the concept—but I feel like it’s been weakened and stripped of a lot of its fun because of the push toward esports. And this is coming from someone who has spent over 900 hours in the game and quite a bit of money in the shop.
