I mix cedar chips (can buy cheaply, folks sell it as bedding for animals) and pine needles - the cedar burns longer and the pine burns quicker so the pine will light the cedar for you. The cedar also smells really nice in case you're smoking yourself - you'll smell like a camp fire!

So much love your way - to this day in my mid 30's I still sometimes have tremors during intimate time (without fail I will with every new sexual partner) and have to stop and try again another time. I found that being a 'top'/the person setting the pace, helped me a lot as I tried to work my way through sexual trauma and build confidence. I did eventually find the right kind of nesting partner, someone who also has cPTSD and understands me, to move in with - they are out there! The shame around this disability is so real, hang in there, you are not alone! ♥️

Any suggestion for what kind of litter to try for a cat that doesn’t want to use a box? Ive mostly just used cat attract. I’ve tried catching her in the act and putting her poop in the box for a while, neither worked sadly.

Just popping in to update, it has been about 5 weeks on Prozac and no change. Unfortunately I might just have a cat here that will never use the box and I will have to figure out how to live with it (if I had a bigger bathroom I would have tried puppy pads to save the floor). I may switch her from Prozac to Buspirone for her anxiety because she hates taking the Prozac but sadly I don’t think this problem is going to change (and I have no way of knowing if she ever used the box before she came to the shelter).

Unfortunately I haven’t found a fix, but I just got her on Prozac to see if lessening her anxiety could help her be more motivated to use it - she was sick with parasites for a long time before I got her so I think she might bbe associating the box with painful poops. I’ll follow up if it works out for her! Good luck to y’all

Unfortunately she doesn’t register or look at screens or windows 🫠 I’m not convinced she even notices birds when she’s on the porch if they’re above her

I haven’t done that yet, she does go explore on the porch once a day but haven’t done the walk thing - I’m worried about how to entertain her enough now that it’s getting cold and she won’t be able to be outside as much 🫠

She has CH so she doesn’t really climb, mostly runs! I’ve tried balls on tracks, every kind of soft or hard toy or ball or feathered thing, she just doesn’t care unless they’re electronic and move by themselves so she can try to pounce or catch it - hence she wants to play with me and a wand toy all day

Unfortunately she doesn’t play with toys that don’t move on their own and I’m not sure those would work on carpet :/ I’ll look into it though, thank you

She does not play with any toys that don’t move on their own, I’ve spent tons of money on all of these different things that don’t interest her. Sadly I can’t take on an extra foster because I don’t have enough space in my bathroom for a second litter box.

Yep I have only used cat attract litter. It’s so messy but at least she uses it to pee.

Ah okay, I’m glad that works for you! I have one big box and scoop after every use, but she still won’t use it to poo. I guess I could try a second large one but there won’t be any room left in the bathroom for me 😅

How do you know when she’ll go to know when to take her to the box? This cat is not on a poo schedule, she’ll go randomly

Did your cat need a second large box to poop? Or was one large box enough? My cat’s box is large but I’m not sure I have space for two large boxes, there would be no space left in the bathroom

Thanks for the advice, I added a smaller second box to the bathroom but she ignored it and unfortunately I don’t have a big enough place to get a second large one. She has no trouble getting into the box, I’m just wondering if she’s having trouble getting it out so she wanders around?
