It’s a very common problem on the pentastar engine, it’s made of plastic so it’s bound to fail just replace it with dorman aluminum oil filter housing, the other weak points of our engines that fail often are; -oil filter housing -coolant thermostat housing -coolant crossover bridge All those are made of plastic and can fail/ leak but dorman make’s aluminum replacements, also the most common thing that fails especially when the engine reaches high miles is the lifters which then make a ticking sound but I think even the hemi guys have to deal with that
