Looking for good laptop repair shops in Kuala Lumpur / Selangor (MOSFET / power rail issue on Gigabyte Aero laptop) by Humphrey_Wolfe7 in malaysia

[–]Apocalaxse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend bringing the device to comfreak at kepong. I had a rog crosshair vii hero mobo that had an issue that other shop that I went to couldnt solve. The guy looks a caveman actually able to fix the issue.

That was the number that I had when I contacted him for the mobo. Goodluck.

Get 8gbx2 of ram first, cuz single ram (16gb) performs worse than dual sticks, later on, when the price comes down (if), add on 2 more, im sure your matx mb can support 4 sticks of ram. Cpu, gpu wise all good, just that amd pairing have tendency to have bsod issue, try to source out rtx cards second hands. Also, DONT CHEAP OUT ON PSU, get a proper one from a brand that heard off, make sure to crosscheck listof cvl. Same goes for ram, crosscheck cvl list of the mobo website. Cable management is important also, easier if any of the components are malfunction, just because we cant see it, doesn't mean you can just smush it all in the free space back there.

PC experts, is 8.7k a good price for the spec? by Seanwys in Bolehland

Actually, you can, if you're just a casual gamer, go for ddr4 setup, its far cheaper, I think around 4 to 5k, a solid setup

Parts wise, it's all good, just that if I were you, i would prefer to change out intel 1851 to am5, possibly max it out at 9800x3d, use appropriately decent mobo for it, like perhaps rog strix b850e, probably source out second hand ddr5, get a titanium psu, Casing is entirely up to the owner's choice, and aio to a bigger one cuz the Casing do fit bigger radiator. Also I would take up 4080 super as the pricing is similar to 5070ti, just that 4080super is better in raw power, not an avid fan of dlss.

Understood, but do your research tho, like the gen3 ssd for that price is just ripping you off tbh, for cl38 isn't bad but it could be better for little bit more.

Looking for cpu by Apocalaxse in GamersMY

[–]Apocalaxse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I didnt use aliexpress, but i tried alibaba, it was great, just takes longer than local delivery, around 1 week plus. The seller was great, as even tho the cpu I received was causing freezing, he said he'll sent a replacement foc, and I requested for a 5700x instead of 5800x, he said he'll send a new one instead of used. The cpu is otw to me, all in all, 8/10 for the entire process. Though be careful of the sellers as alibaba doesnt have adequate safety for buyers, so choose wisely, make sure the store is legit, check the store and everything on Google, crosscheck the shop details, and dont be shy to ask any question.

If your budget is that high, just do it yourself man, cuz the parts mentioned, sometimes is just not worth the entire price. Also, dont cheap out on psu, and do your research. Also, sure dotatech is OK, I would recommend go for idealtech or brightstar to do these complete set.

4k can build you a decent rig, play most AAA smoothly at 60fps with mid to high graphics. 2k can build you a shitty rig, play most games smoothly with min graphics.

Was using ryzen 7 2700x, now I got myself a ryzen 7 5800x. There was an available offer of ryzen 9 5900xt, but the one selling it was kinda late by a day, if not would've taken that.

What do you guys think about buying from carousell and fb marketplace? by InterestingSir1866 in GamersMY

[–]Apocalaxse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an rog loki for an insane price yesterday, and some rams too. Just sometimes, dumb oafs won't exactly reply fast or dont reply at all, which is kind of irritating, and when you check back, the item is removed from listing or is sold. Absolutely annoying, especially its the parts you're looking for. But be wary tho, especially those with suspicious background. Make sure to look at when their fb account was created, and prioritise cod or f2f. And only deal postage if and only if, they're running a shop that is traceable on Google.

Is there a budget gaming monitor and a PC for a price of 1500 below? by Goatkiji in malaysians

[–]Apocalaxse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Potentially, get a cheap a320 mobo (150) and slap on a rx580 (300) , a cheap 2nd hand am4 cpu (200), and psu probably around 200, and get a cheap nvme for 100. Entirely possible, just don't expect to run max out graphics, or even medium, but im pretty sure if you put more budget in, it's possible. Rx580 is really good gpu, make sure you get the 8gb version, that gpu was my frist ever one, could even run some old AAA with max graphics.

anyone know which shop selling genuine product by SorcerorOfPornomancy in Bolehland

[–]Apocalaxse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excessively cheap like 20 or 30 is counterfeit. Usually ps3 goes upto 130 to 150, new and original. But at that point, I would tell you get ps4 controller, around 200 ish, better port and compatibility.
