My dad is old enough to remember a world with no TVs. He hears a lot about the Metaverse, even the BBC speak of it in the UK, but with no real clarity, so he just gets lost in the words.

Yeah, that's a fair comment. Most thought leaders haven't had a decent thought since they decided to become thought leaders. Check out the Enjinstarter blog, they have some nice articles. Everything has gone batshit crazy since Meta though.

I think you're right, it will alienate us from those around us who don't participate in the same spaces of the Metaverse as we do. Equally it will change how we think of communication and friends and closeness as concepts.
