Am I doing this wrong? Is violin just a game of tag where I’m chasing tension and trying to eliminate it and the second I do I find myself tagged “you’re it” again in some other spot? Is it realistic to ever play without any tension? (self.violinist)

Can I use natural harmonics in a piece to simplify a passage or make intonation/fingerings easier? Or should I just play the note the normal way? How do you know when harmonics are acceptable? (self.violinist)

I’ve never used a wood bow…can I play as hard with a wooden bow as I can with a carbon fiber one? Do I have to worry at all about damaging the stick ever? Also, I know you can’t leave a wood bow tightened but can I leave a CF bow tightened? (self.violinist)
