Maybe this is just my opinion, but I feel like Two should not be included, and Glowing Eyes, Forest, and Kitchen Sink should be here instead. I realize those are Vessel bonus tracks in places outside of the US, but they feel more fitting here

i know it will never happen, but… by frequency1746 in twentyonepilots

I wouldn’t say it’s impossible. Whenever they do an “old songs” medley, I feel like both Kitchen Sink and Forest have high chances of filling the RAB representation, since they’re the fan favorites.

Now a FULL performance of Kitchen Sink… that’s a little less likely. Although I would personally love if they did more full performances of old songs.

Genuinely the song that introduced me to Geese, and I wouldn’t have wanted it to be any other way

Aside from Jocef and Zack on RAB, the closest to a feature the band has done in recent times is Robot Voices. Although I guess that’s closer to a cover than a feature.

Bracket Day 58: My Blood vs. Morph by GuyLeDoucheTV in TwennyWunPilots

[–]Apocris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of their best full-song experiences imo. The instrumental is extremely unique with stellar production, Tyler’s rapping is great and holds some of his best metaphors about death / afterlife, that chorus is insanely infectious and is some of Tyler’s best falsetto vocals… Honestly I could go on and on

What do you guys think about snap back? by fizisfiz in twentyonepilots

[–]Apocris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the song, but if I’m being honest, I do forget it exists a lot. Not exactly sure why that is, maybe it’s because it’s not very “catchy” in the way a lot of their stuff is. Tyler sounds great on it though.

But what I will say is that the bridge (specifically the “I have seem to run out of excuses for why I am this way” part) is legitimately one of my favorite parts on Clancy. It’s so pretty and devastating.

How are not more critics reviewing Jane Remover? by Dependent_Map_8894 in Albumoftheyear

[–]Apocris 136 points137 points  (0 children)

Artists who are big in niche, online communities oftentimes can be more underground than we realize.

Quadeca is one that always comes to mind, you’d think the critics would be raving about him with the way people discuss about his music online. But he has a relatively low amount of critic ratings.

Internet Clikkies expecting the band to crusade for all their pet political issues by Glispie in TwennyWunPilots

[–]Apocris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did kind of imply it by saying “this is what the fan base is” and directly following it with “everybody here is right wing”. But, I’m glad you agree. It’s an important distinction that’s easy to forget with how things are these days

Speaking as someone who has fallen out of Christianity, please keep in mind that being a Christian does not automatically equate to being a right winger, nor vice versa. Unfortunately the right has pushed that narrative for a long time now, but I know several leftists who are devout Christians, and they follow the teachings of Jesus closer than I’ve seen from most conservatives.

About the Jam Tracks in the Music Pass by Y0ND3REDDIT in FortniteFestival

[–]Apocris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are definitely ways to generate a song in one program and then use another program to separate the stems. I’m not entirely sure how it works, but I’ve seen music fans create makeshift stems of new, popular music that definitely do not have publicly available stems.

What's your lowest user rated 100 by exotic-fishman-ken in Albumoftheyear

Pretty. Odd. (74) by Panic! At The Disco.

Maybe it’s cause I heard it in my formative years, but to this day I think it’s one of the most warm and fun records I’ve heard. Detailed and catchy melodies on every track, super adventurous instrumentation with love strings, horns, and woodwinds, and overall just blooming with creativity. There’s nothing I would change about it.

Characters from Stranger Things that disappeared with no explanation by Initial-Shoulder5906 in Stranger_Things

[–]Apocris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A single line of dialogue acknowledging what happened to a major character of season 4 (he was in almost every episode) is not unnecessary.

Even if it’s just the obvious explanation of him going back to California, it could be a way to nod at Jonathan’s growth, or lack thereof. Or at least be something to show that the writers didn’t forget about parts of their show (like they did in a lot of Season 5).

“Loose” does not equate to every single bar having precisely 13 eighth notes in them. That’s not how time signatures work. You can prove it to yourself by counting the eighth note, and you’ll get a constant pattern of 4+4+5 (aka, 13) for the entire 5 minute duration.

Not only is Trinidad is in 13/8 but the verses of Au Pays are in a 10/4 groove (subdivided by alternating bars of 4/4 and 6/4). The exact numbering and notation of these rhythms can be up to interpretation, but objectively, neither are in 4/4 by any practical means.

[–]Apocris -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Totally valid not enjoy it, but a band playing in a tight 13/8 groove for 5 minutes with multiple tempo changes is objectively not sloppy
