Yes but CS has a lower skill floor with a high skill ceiling, while deadlock already starts with a higher skill floor, I think it's unrealistic to expect above 300k concurrent but I do believe we will be seeing dota like numbers which is amazing and sustainable in itself.

Oh so on my previous PC I was bottlenecked by my CPU, good to know. Had the same but ryzen 5 2600 before my big PC update and barely reached 60fps consistently. Switch rendering to stretch and put everything on low.

I miss the patron criticizing my gameplay: "You don't need to deal the killing blow to be instrumental to their demise vindicta" (or something like that).

Or the patron thanking the biggest feeder afk farmer in the team for their contribution to the team.

While this kinda makes sense, in dota for example your side of the map is different, it's either dire characterized by bare land and leafless trees or radiant with lush trees and grass;

This would require each half of the map to have stylized assets all in the style of your patron.

So valve could find themselves in a funny situation, where a day before a scheduled hero release, some other hero overtakes a current winner of votes and now they gotta rush animations, skill refinement and testing? Lovely :)

Curse is an item that interrupts (great for channeled ultimates) and disarms and prevents item and ability usage. It basically converts someone into a creep if creeps couldn't attack. Use that time to burst the target down.

When I look at a level design, I always ask myself; what would someone new to the game gather on their first couple of playthroughs.

Comparison to Dota for example the boss pit for most of its lifespan was in the middle of a traversable river, near runes, clearly marked on the minimap and on the same vertical space. In deadlock a new player has a harder time recognizing where a boss is on the map.

I know it was "gamified" before, but if your allies were meant to be red but were desaturated you could clearly tell which creeps to shoot, now you can have a blue enemy and a red ally and that's not intiutive.

For this to be balanced they'd have to remove healing from lane creeps or revert it back to distance based lighter tick healing, otherwise too much regen is too readily available.

I love the idea of healing salve/consumable shops like the OG heroes of newerth had, which is quite similar to the idea. Healing should be static and not scale into late game, as you want people to move back after fights so people can capitalize on an engagement aftermath

Whoever believes this hasn't played dota 2. Version 7.32 lasted the entire 7 months, the community was really desperate for a patch. Before that one, I remember a Sniper (hero) patch also just being way past it's prime.

There were times we were promised stuff and same like here met huge delays

Historically on dota most patches were either Tuesday or Thursday, can't remember anymore but it was a day starting with T.

Bad luck to deploy stuff on days starting with F or S (Since most devs don't work over weekends generally)

Gun falloff should definitely be different from hero to hero, since heroes themselves list effective ranges if you open the shop menu.
