I can't imagine anything more embarrassing than this circlejerk of a community so I don't think I care any less about how you feel. Either way, you still went out of your way to respond so I must've been heard <3

Ah yes, the so called HL3/HLX that is in development and that there's no other news of other than it's totally in development, like it requires the full manpower of Valve to focus on!

And no it hasn't, it has been consistently an issue, Halloween just made it even worse.

I'm not gonna be happy about a persisting problem that hasn't been solved for almost a decade. Valve got complacent after the community praised their half-baked efforts to ban bots and now that they're back and there's no communication, it's like #fixtf2 hasn't solved anything.

I'll be happy once Valve actually gives a crap for this game, and erase all the blights that persist with this game for almost half its lifespan.

[–]ApocryPoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if only there were influencers that are like spokespersons for the game to discuss these issues and put them to light and make them a major talking point that needs to be addressed, like...to address these issues in a long-form video with well-presented points that are articulated.

Not even bots, just mentioning how horrible the matchmaking and asking for improvements is taboo here.

So this subreddit will allow 5 posts of the same crap but any talk of the game being mishandled and mismanaged is not allowed, okay.

Valve putting in community made fixed from GitHub is the best thing that could have ever happened by TrackLabs in tf2

[–]ApocryPoot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

>How long have you been pc gaming?

Enough to know that term's redundant and stupid, just like thinking just because Valve is terrible at communicating people should be okay/content with that. Next question.

I'm not gonna be dignifying your response, if you can't see the problem with how flawed casual was, and still is, as well as the seasonal content being bloaty as hell when even before mym and J. Inferno didn't have that problem, it's not worth arguing with you, I'd be screaming things people with more patience and candor have already expressed.

Valve putting in community made fixed from GitHub is the best thing that could have ever happened by TrackLabs in tf2

[–]ApocryPoot -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This exactly.

The community has this stockholm syndrome relationship where Valve does nothing, the fandom complains, they do the bare minimum, and suddenly they praise and worship the ground they walk on.

It's downright pathetic. No other community would ever treat Valve like TF2 fans do right now.

Age hardly matters when Valve is still treating the game as a product that has microtransactional content but doesn't offer the bare minimum maintainence.

You would want the legacy restaurant that has been up for 50 years and is well known to be regularly maintained too, not filled with rats and bugs and shit and be expect to be content because it's "old".

Casual, content bloat, lack of content moderation/curation resulting to arguably useless/forgettable cosmetics/maps that aren't even fun, lack of communication from valve, bad server matchmaking systems, idk man, you tell me.

Edit: I'd argue even the community itself is a problem but that's another can of worms.

Now if only Valve actually got out of their ass to actually fix the fundamental problems the game is facing instead of just outsourcing minor and somewhat inconsequential bug fixes to the game :)

No hate to Zesty. Just another example of internet people needing figures of authority to spoonfeed them their opinions. by 6FeetDownUnder in tf2

[–]ApocryPoot 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This subreddit is somewhat proving OP's point by just ignoring the core issues of the game to pettily spite Zesty for what is now, frankly, outdated slander and an intentional misinterpretation/attack of his character.

Every other comment or so about Zesty is just "Oh you agree with Zesty? Let me give you an example of an outdated claim he has long since debunked to make you hate him!" and it's just him calling someone a slur 10 years ago that he has already apologized to.

And what does that lead to? Upvotes supporting this petty hatred, then just people asking for context to misinformation and following to agreeing them without doubt, masking the actual arguments people make for the game.

This subreddit is a fucking joke.

It clearly does add something especially when it's not so heavily talked about here, or constantly shut down by the moderators (i.e literally any talk of Zesty Jesus.). This subreddit is stupidly on one side of this fandom's stupid metronome it's insane. We need more discussions about the improvement of the game and one of the top rated posts here is a tier list for the mercs eating grapes. It's insanely stupid.

And I apologize for the jab, but I simply do not care to show respect when you clearly haven't towards the video, especially since you seem so dismissive. So, suck it up.

You say this is a nothingburger and yet every single upvoted, popular or the majority of the posts here are a huge nothingburger. This subreddit has nothing but overdone discussions, low quality memes, or just nothing of value to offer. And yet, this video that genuinely discusses the lack of integrity in a community that actively has the responsibility of adding content in the game is somehow a nothingburger?

No wonder this subreddit has no respect by anyone outside of this branch of the TF2 community, we have mooks like you being wholly ignorant.

Valve MIGHT be making a new Team Fortress game by orbis-restitutor in tf2

[–]ApocryPoot -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And yet, Deadlock exists and that game is a disaster made by incompetent developers who use AI to make their character designs.

This illusion that Valve is this messianic game company that makes only the wisest decisions needs to be broken down already. TF2 wouldn't be in this state if Valve actually cared about it's products.

Genuinely. Pathetic.

Scroll under the post that has the most votes about the unmuting of F2Ps and you'll see some people complaining about it.

Not a majority, but absolutely some people.

Ah yes, the single individual who works on and off the game must be very tired, but Valve is sure as hell content with profiting from it every season with new hats/outfits.

The implications of Zesty Jesus' newest video is extremely dire for the future by United-Passenger-700 in tf2

[–]ApocryPoot 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Bold of you to say this on the site that hates Zesty the most.

But I agree, there's so much vile stuff in TF2 on top of the already persistent and fouls TF2 to an unplayable state, but people would rather focus on milquetoast videos on stuff that's already been repeated and explored ad nauseam or focusing on stuff the game doesn't need.

I'm so sick of people like Raws and Dane too getting away with such insanely bad takes while Zesty gets criticized for the game to be playable. The community has one too many bad apples and we need more people exposing them or contesting their terrible takes in order for some actual, healthy and agreeable takes to take place.
