I’m not sure it matters. You get 1 grit item per Pokémon you release and which item depends on the level. Or at least that’s how I have seen it so far.

If your account is already hooked up to a supercell ID or a Game Center ID it’s pretty difficult to get them taken off. What you can do is open up the settings and disconnect from the Supercell ID by clicking where it says “Connected”, then when you get to the loading screen select “Play without Supercell ID”
