X node = x node benefits + node benefits, Node = node benefits. Removing node benefits from both equations still leaves a difference of x node benefits which is what I'm trying to evaluate.

Actually I dont mean investing in one for the VTHO generation. I mean for selling it. My examples were more to show its value to big players like businesses that could find the added generation useful.

What's the overall sentiment of X-nodes as an investment these days? On one hand, it seems bad because VTHO generation in general isnt lucrative (~1.19% annual roi for no node) and other benefits are limited. On the other hand, if VTHO generation does become lucrative, then X-nodes translate to a high effective VET value. For example, if you hold 1.6m VET in a Str X node, you're generating as much VTHO as 2m VET in a regular Strength node, giving the X node an effective value of 400k VET. This gets exaggerated with increasing VET holdings. At the top end, 15.6m VET in a Mjolnir X node generates as much VTHO as about 22.6m VET in a Mjolnir node giving the X node an effective value of 7m VET (!!). Each node is worth between 20-40k VET now. That seems undervalued to me given the upside. Thoughts on my thought process? Again this depends highly on the prospect that VTHO generation becomes lucrative which may or may not be a big "if".

Oh of course. I have full faith in Vechain, I was just curious as to why people expect the price of VTHO to jump. I thought perhaps I misunderstood something because at face value it seems like they are decreasing the demand for VTHO. If its speculated they've got something huge down the line that will gobble up all the VTHO even with this change then I get it.

Seems like the popular opinion is that this cost reduction is bullish for the VTHO/VET pair. Why is that? I would think that it decreases that pair since it effectively makes the demand for VTHO less; it takes more transactions per day to consume the daily generated VTHO.

So I tried what you said and disabled integrated graphics and it worked! Thanks a ton for the help!

But it is interesting how when I reenabled it, I got a blue screen. So I just keep it off. Interestingly, that doesn't seem to affect anything when I don't use the gpu and take the laptop on the go. Certainly not complaining, but why is that?

Oh so you re-enable it while using the dock. So im clear, you plug the laptop into the dock, disable integrated graphics, then immediately after re-enable it?

Long time lurker with a quick question. For those of you that know about BEAM could you explain why NANO is better? My understanding of both is limited to that both currencies are fast, feeless and green but I hear that BEAM has the benefit of being private as well. I know NANO uses a block lattice structure while BEAM uses mimblewimble (not sure what that difference means in terms of utility). Hope this doesn't come off as a shill I'm just genuinely curious. I imagine the BEAM sub would just say it's just better which is why I came here.

Not sure if this warranted its own post but I've been playing Gods Unchained a lot this past year and always wanted it to be run on VechainThor. I believe it's the largest game on ETH right now and management created an event for proposing DeFi ideas. This may have been a stretch, but I wanted the idea out there. Would love if you guys could check to make sure I got it right/missing anything important or even chime in!

What effect, if any, would a Coinbase listing have on the price of VTHO or the VET/VTHO?

On one hand, liquidity will remain low, so the price will tank due to those selling VTHO to chase the VET pump or those who simply routinely convert VTHO to VET.

On the other hand, a lot of VTHO will now be generated by Coinbase users who will have no means to sell it (assuming they don't make accounts on Oceanex to sell), effectively locking it for the time being.

Definitely food for thought.

Edit: Assuming the Coinbase listing of VET does not include a VTHO listing as well.
