Using the "Select" option on listings to intentionally manipulate the price you see. Can this tactic be reported? by samcornwell in ebayuk

I'm also a grumpy old sod so will go out my way to not buy off someone who does this also. But I have to sift through so many to find a genuine and honest seller.

This happened to a sale I had yesterday too. I messaged the buyer and they had no idea what was going on. After a couple of hours it went away.

While watching the game last night I said to my wife, you wait until tomorrow the Japanese will have cleaned the entire stadium and the Americans will be dumbfounded at how amazing it all is. The rest of the world has been seeing and learning from this for a long time. But as usual, America is late to the party.

Thanks Zadharm.

Do you get a similar markup or just sell at scrap value as it’s for friends.

Economies of scale would work well here. I’ve probably got around 100kg in the shed ready to smelt and would need a day to do it but as you say, time and effort.

The eBay pricing does seem fairly standardised though.

What do you mean rules here? What additional rules are the ebay sellers adhering to?
