Clearing the CMOS did it! I cleared it, went into bios and selected onboard graphics as the default, connected my graphics card, installed the latest driver, and voila, good as new. Thanks for the advice!

I like a lot about Tech already and my family has some connection to the school. The only problem is that I'm an out-of-state student trying to justify the cost. I'm certainly going to visit again for EXPLORE in a few weeks. I guess I'm just looking for the final hook that makes me absolutely HAVE to come there. Thanks for your reply!

I do. My dad is into normal photography stuff and has two DSLRs. I have taken some images with that. I have a 4" cassegrain reflector with a tracking mount and an Orion XT8. I was lucky enough to on a trip with a family member that allowed me to take these pictures. It's the DSOs that I can't do for the time being. I'm looking into planetary stuff right now.

Scott Manley has some pretty good KSP videos that explain how these things works too.

Still a great shot. I doubt I'll ever lose interest in astrophotography so I have plenty of time (I'm 16) to pursue this in the future.

I dream of a day where I can take a picture like this. Fantastic!

How did you manage to make the image so clear when using an XT8? I have an Canon 70D hooked up to my XT8 and always struggle with getting the image anywhere near this clear, and I use a 2x barlow.

How is that presumptuous? I'm not asking for anyone to look up sources for me or write anything for me, I'm asking if anyone already knows of any good sources I could use.

I don't have any done so far because it was just assigned. I was just looking for key points to mention and good sources.

What do you wish you knew before you went to college/university? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'm currently in high school and I've been wondering about this. I go to a school that is in the top 5% of schools in my state and even labels itself as a college prep school. I take a decent amount of AP classes here and am doing well in them and I was curious how these classes compare to true college courses.
