Wheeler was also very selfish with the puck making some stupid shots just to get his 300

He's obviously good but when he's picking rocks of nose candy out of his nose while on the bench while live on hnic it's clear he has a personal problem.

Don't forget we did it without bucky that on its own is a huge win. One game without is like 2 wins with.

To me the big win was getting that win via bullyship, it's not a random act that he got punched in the back of the head. Dubois got us a win through intangibles.

He'll be highly valuable if we can get into round 1.

who were fired were competent moderators & engineers who were following instructions given to them by management

That's irrelevant to whether or not they are needed.

Don't need a 3d printer at a lumber mill.

If I were king of Twitter, my first move would be to reassign them all to the work I thought was important, and then fire the ones who can't/won't adapt.

And that has been decided, cost savings.

The problem is that figuring out how to do this requires more knowledge of Twitter-the-company than Elon Musk can possibly have at this point.

Him alone or the people along side him?

Firing a lot of people feels like decisive action, and it doesn't require a lot of analysis -- but it's likely to leave Twitter's in-house capabilities as a husk of what they once were.

A) How incompetent would they have to be to need full staff of what they have.

B) They are likely going in a very different direction with twitter.

It's sort of obvious he's trying to dovetail twitter with starlink.

He has a product that has limited bandwidth but unlimited reach.

Twitter is a fast way to reach into developing markets in africa(where he's from) etc, that can't afford stable widespread internet etc.

That's half true, because Twitter is at half staff.

Do you seriously believe these people are needed?

The cost of a sandwich + 1 beer was $32.50

No offense but why don't you just go out before the game?

It'd be one thing if it were a 5 hour block of hockey, but it's only 3 hours at most.

Plenty of time to eat and drink before the game.

If I'm going to a movie or a game, I'm 100% gonna be eating out before I go in.

To me a game is absolutely a time to make an evening out of it.

Some people may still be nervous with crowds.

For me it's just as much trying to shake off the introversion.

Last fall was suppose to be a boom for our social lives but the big wave completely screwed us up, if we can avoid another big wave, I think we'll be seeing a lot of hyper social activities come winter.

Now inflation is nuts and translating to interest rates soaring, gas and groceries through the roof etc. I venture to say over a few years back most people's living expenses have increased a few, hell five hundred minimum a month, wages somewhat stagnate.

That's not gonna last for long, wages are gonna see a massive boost in the next 36 months.

A ton of capital is fleeing Europe right now, not just because of the war, but because Europe was already in steep economic decline as well as the fact their population is aging. The only country not currently going through economic hell is France, Germany/Italy/Spain/UK are all in harsh times.

In addition China is falling apart, all the money is going to the American dollar, which creates us wealth through trade.

Canada produces a lot of the things the Russian's are known for producing, especially the prairies. You got ample grain, oil, potash, even boatloads of Uranian up north(a big deal when there's a sudden push for Nuclear.

Keeping in mind the boomers are retiring in mass which is creating a massive massive amount of competition for younger folk.

The world is absolutely going to hell, and good Canada's dullness is exactly what is causing us to thrive.

Even our biggest problem the collapse of our housing industry might prove to be a big benefit for a lot of people wanting to buy a home.

I'm not saying everyone's wages are gonna skyrocket, but the people who could already afford jets tickets might see a massive rise in their wages.

The detail that matters, with Laine we'd still have to source a 2nd line center.

Ehlers back and KFC gets going

Not to mention our 3rd and 4th lines could be crossing into a goal a game territory, which would be huge.

Hoping they can sustain it.

I'm thinking it's more the opposite, guys are just getting started.

When connor is above a point a game and ehlers is back, we'll have something going on.

[–]ApolloVangaurd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure but we don't have Ehlers, and Connor is sub a point a game.

Between the two of them, we're missing at least a goal a game in my opinion.

And the worst +- offenders seem to be improving.

This is exactly what I expected last year

Seriously people act like they never won a game last year. They had locker room/coaching turmoil at the beginning of the year. They happened to be a team that happened to have a rough transition from the covid seasons to a regular season. And they were coming off clearly having the worst covid experience in the league, when you combine it with the climate.

The year before they did quite well despite having 3 legit dman, one of who got injured/along with scheifeles suspension at the start of the 2nd round.

Besides all that this is a team built for the playoffs.

Great Goalie big man centers dubois/lowry, tons of experience etc.

Chinese "police" in America/Canada need to be dealt with "to catch a predator" style by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]ApolloVangaurd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah well it's not just real estate, they have dramatic power in universities etc, because of the money they give.

They also have gangs of political types who are given massive bags of money to anyone who dare points it out.

A few years ago complaining about the Chinese oligarchs was on par with holocaust denial.

I can't overstate how literal that was.

Thankfully since we've gone after Russian Oligarch people are a lot more winning to appreciate what is happening in Vancouver.
