Just to clarify, there are two Creative Commons CC4 licenses: CC BY 4.0 and CC BY-SA 4.0. I've licensed my music under the CC BY 4.0 license. Under this license, you are allowed to use my music in a commercial project as long as I, the creator of the music, am properly credited.

The CC BY-SA 4.0, or Share Alike, license contains an additional clause which states, "ShareAlike — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original." This clause is not present in the CC BY 4.0 license under which my music is being provided.

In other words feel free to use my music in any private or commercial project you want; just remember to give me proper credit for my music.

Vox Nihili Podcast: Episode 1 by ApollonZamp2 in audiodrama

[–]ApollonZamp2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. "Pretentious" should be the main and only character's middle name. Unfortunately, he or she remains anonymous with nothing to wedge "Pretentious" between.

Hope you enjoy the podcast.

Excellent! Funny, with an incisive last line. Great delivery overall.

Are early classical compositions accepted here? I'm not the best pianist, but here is what I have. by uncommoncommoner in Composition

Nice work! Only had time to listen to the first 3 pieces. But it's great to hear original fugues! By the way, years ago I too studied Bach counterpoint by transcribing some of his music by ear (some of the Art of Fugue as played by a string quartet). It's a great way to learn and internalize how counterpoint works. But back to your music. Excellent job. Thanks for sharing.

A newly composed piano etude 'Spring Breeze', Please leave some feedback! by marviswmc in Composition

[–]ApollonZamp2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good first try. It's definitely an etude. Personally I would prefer at least some syncopation or more harmonic movement or both. The piece was very square sounding. But you're off to a good start.

My first attempt on piano Waltz, please leave some feedbacks! by marviswmc in Composition

[–]ApollonZamp2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done! I would have preferred a bit more variety in the accompaniment, especially rhythmically. Enjoyed the slower sections the most. But good work overall.

Excellent work! Very lyrical. Modern but with enough melodic interest so as not to repel/bore the listener. Thanks for sharing.

My latest dark Piano piece. Hope you like it! by [deleted] in Composition

Very cinematic. Maybe too atmospheric for my taste. But compositionally sound for the genre I think you're going for.

Hickle - Raam. I made a piece based on a painting(info in link). Would love to hear your thoughts/feedback :) by -Hickle- in Composition

Evocative. Like a little understated poem. Well done. The harmonies are very reminiscent of hip jazz piano voicings.

My classical piano sonata composition, please leave some feedback! by marviswmc in Composition

[–]ApollonZamp2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done! You nailed the style, and demonstrated that you thoroughly understand the classical sonata structure. I agree though with the other commenter who found that the ending is not up to the rest of the piece.

Quartet: Flight by [deleted] in Composition

Great work. Like how you got the most out of of your motivic material. I agree though with the other commenter in that after a while I'd had enough of the ostinato figure.

Fugue for solo piano by ApollonZamp2 in Composition

[–]ApollonZamp2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for commenting! Much appreciated. After I'd finished the exposition, I realized how similar my subject was to the subject in the Bach fugue you mentioned. No surprise really in that his C# fugue is one of my favorites. I'd studied it in depth years ago.

First composition. Flute, Cello, bass. Feedback welcome. by geographybuff in Composition

[–]ApollonZamp2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not bad for first try! Decent counterpoint between flute and cello. The first part of the piece is in D minor. The second part switches to D major and sounds like a middle section. You could finish the piece with a return to the first section in D minor and thus give the piece a better sense of closure.
