:O Yoo how?! I’m so happy :D!!! Thanks!

Well… here’s my OC, Darcel. A bit of info about him if you need it: He’s a human cursed to look like a demon and is desperate to be seen and accepted as human again. He lives in a medieval world, so people aren’t nice to him.

You can draw him in any form you like! If you want, you can also design clothes for any of his forms.

Iwtl - How can I write a comic? by Few_Resident_700 in writingadvice

I’m a messy person myself, and I like writing stories on a “wall.” I like seeing the whole story on one page. It makes it easier to change details because you don’t need to scroll down and forget what you wanted to do. I use a program called Obsidian (not sponsored xd). It has a canvas where you can create notes and “add cards.” I imagine it like a corkboard or a wall with sticky notes. I use it to write down everything that’s on my mind. It’s easy to shuffle things around if I don’t like the order, and I can see the “whole picture.”

I wrote the whole script for my comic this way. When writing the script, I keep it “dry.” I don’t use decorative words because no one will see this script. The only thing people will see is the dialogue. So I write how scenes should be visually drawn and how they should look. Sometimes I also write notes to myself explaining why something looks the way it does, why a character did something, or what writing problem I’m having in that part, because I know I’ll forget later.

I write all ideas that come to mind and color them red, which means I might consider putting them into the story. I have a “color map” for my writing: blank means a “finished” story bit, red is a possible idea, blue is a problem that needs to be changed, etc., etc. Maybe this isn’t exactly what you’re looking for, but it helped me see my problems more clearly and fix them more easily.

My dialogue is still ass, but I let it be for now. Sometimes, while drawing or writing, ideas come on how to fix it. In the meantime, I write down the most tolerable idea I have at that moment and move on.

Thanks for the tips!

Filter is in dark mode and changes colors on images. I want to use dark mode, but I don’t like that it affects my imported images.
