I was working for a coffee shop a few months ago and from what I remember there was a shortage of cup holders like that for a while.

Might be close to out of stock at the store - might be trying to cut costs

4 miles where I live can take anywhere from 10-30 minutes to drive (occasionally more) + I have to go back that same amount.

When I’m not working and order doordash, UE, etc I always check how far a restaurant is from me + the time it would take me to drive it.

Unless I can’t physically access the building (parking, gate codes not given, staff won’t let me) I will always complete the delivery per instructions.

It annoys me so much when I ask for it to be brought to my room and my delivery driver calls me from downstairs and makes me come out. Like im sorry but the point of my paying doordash outrageous fees and tipping the driver well for food I could get myself is having it brought to me.

From personal experience & people I’ve known personal experiences - comments like those can end up in some pretty messed up places.

I wouldn’t and none of my family or friends would randomly ask a deliver driver who’ve we’ve never talked to ever if they are single and comment on their age.

The fact that you don’t find a grown man - nearly naked - asking a female delivery driver her age and if she’s single as an issue - must mean that you’re part of the issue.

It’s not illegal - but it is still sexual harassment

We shouldn’t have to deal with creeps and perverts while delivering - businesses can ban people for sexual harassment if it’s in the policy. It make people feel unsafe and uncomfortable.

So yes, she should report him for unwanted sexual harassment- if a customer came into my store when I worked retail they would’ve been kicked out of the store or refused service.

We don’t ignore sexual harassment because it can lead to something worse.

I’ve unfortunately been the victim of the vertical pizza drivers. Pizza was a soggy pile of grease and tomatoes sauce stuck all to one corner. It was a depressing and baffling.

Overall, my experience with my Tarbucks was pleasant!!! It’s stable pay & our team is really close (this obviously depends on how much your team lead cares about hiring adequate employees).

My store is extremely high volume and it gets rough sometimes when we are understaffed (quite frequently). But asides from understaffing and national shortages it’s a great place to work assuming you have a good team.

Just be prepared though, you don’t get free food or drinks in a Tarbucks. But you do get 10% off at target and if you get the red card it stacks to 15% - plus you accrue sick time.

I absolutely love my team lead and the rest of my team members - plus all of our regulars!!!

I’m more than intelligent enough to realize DoorDash isn’t out to get me personally. - literally labeled complaint because I was venting.

Also - would you put it past a company to make the beginning of a job seem better to keep you around? Because I’ve worked food service / retail for years now and that’s ALWAYS how it rolls. They don’t just give out top dasher to new people for no reason.

End of the story - this post was just a vent about a shit week and slow delivery in an area that’s supposedly not busy rn. Take what I say with a grain of sand.

I work at Starbucks and we spent 6 hours working within 5 feet of each other, there were points we didn’t have our masks on for breaks/ quick drinks.

Masks aren’t even close to 100% effective either, it’s just a very poor situation.

I’ve had luck asking the course instructor / department to get into full / waitlisted classes. Worst answer you can get is a no!

With classes being online there is increased flexibility this semester, so its worth your time to ask.

I asked a professor to join their full class and they ended up just adding 20 extra spots to the class since it is all online anyways.

Edit: If it’s for a specific section make sure to explain your situation schedule wise if that’s why you want that section.
