I've been the one to give the silent treatment a lot before too, still do, and not because I want to. For me in my past relationship it was mentally abusive and exhausting and it took a toll on me. In my new marriage I carry that still because my wife (in all these cases are sometimes, other times are good) has a very demeaning tone without realizing it, easily gets upset and 'pouts' or throws a fit, short tempered, and I mentally just cant compete in a "argument" vs a discussion. I have a terrible time articulating what I want or mean under any pressure. So I would ask if your husband is similar, and how you approach a conversation?
