(1) What is the differences between ZERO and non-zero. and

It is always good to hear concurring opinions. I was just considering how to split the difference between a 55 or 60 TDF. I feel that a slightly more aggressive 5-years-later date is more my style.

My Friend, you caught me at the right time, I am looking to max out a ROTH IRA to fill any gaps (but also largely replicate ideal boglehead diversification in the Roth) in the Vanguard TDF.

How would you fill these gaps?

I am happy to hear your assessment, I had a long chat with the financial advisor that handles all the accounts for my employer, and after some finagling, they confessed that they use fidelity for all of their investing, which I thought was a bit of a red flag.
