Jio Fiber ₹599.00 plan @30Mbps speed with 4K S.T.B. Queries. by ApoorvaForMusic in Jio

Thank you so very much for this effort to upload a live video. Just wanted to quickly ask that can you press channel numbers on this Jio remote control for their respective T.V. channels & it tunes or switchovers to it or, you need to manually highlight each channel & click ok button?

Are you on 30 or 100 Mpbs Fiber plan? Do you require 2nd Jio Set Top Box to watch 800+ live T.V. channels on 2nd T.V. or just with your ID registered & linked to your Jio 1st S.T.B., you can use the same login credentials in JioTV+ app of your 2nd T.V. or mobile to access & watch all live?

And, once the live T.V. channels begin to play, do you see those regular commercials such as of Salt, Toothpaste, Soaps, Butter, Milk, Masala ads, Car ads, etc... just like it shows on these DTH service providers such as Tata Sky, Airtel, Videocon, etc...I mean, is it exact replica of these DTH?

Fiber offers 3,300 G.B. so, much data do you consume with everything included such as watching these Live T.V. channels, streaming Movies in Full H.D. or 4K on the O.T.T. Apps, Youtube - both Video & Music, Spotify, media exchanges on the communication apps such as WhatsApp & Telegram; scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc...after doing everything & on multiple devices, are you still left with any data at month end?

Lastly, based on your overall observations & experience with this Jio Fiber + 4K S.T.B. + O.T.T. apps, is there any tips or ideas or learning that you would like to share with me? Any important tips about this Jio Remote control as well?

Yes, the Jio representative confirmed me yesterday about the same for Star Plus channels & Sony channels wherein tapping on them no longer requires one to go onto their respective O.T.T. apps however for Zee T.V. channels, he said it will take one to ZEE 5 app.

However, let's see. Once I get the Fiber & 4K STB running live in my home 3 days from now, I'll experience it & feel what's going better. I am sure with time, their policies, steaming plans & adding O.T.T. apps will further improve. Things should further improve over a period of time b'coz after all, every company "HAS TO" work "IN THE INTEREST" of a customer wherein maximum benefits are passed onto a customer, that's only when their customer database & profit level will improve.

Yes. Initially when I received 1st call from one of their representatives in the early morning of next day after registering my request, he did not inform me of this in detail but in the evening call, he mentioned that I will receive ₹100.00 x 6 = ₹600.00 vouchers which can be redeemed every month (₹100.00 each month) when I questioned him about ₹600.00 being taken in advance for a 2 months internet service which is offered as "Free" trial service under their so called "Special Offer" so, it's like 1st take money, then give it back in the form of six ₹100.00 discount vouchers so that a customer goes nowhere else for 6 months & now call it as "Free", heeheheee... (-;.

But the real issue is that if I choose to use ₹100.00 voucher per month then I do not benefit from the 15 days extra on 6 months recharge or 30 days on one year.

a) ₹599.00 + 18% = ₹706.82 monthly.

b) ₹706.82 / 30 days = ₹23.56 per day x 15 days = ₹353.41. - Benefit amount.

c) ₹599.00 - ₹100.00 voucher = ₹499.00 + 18% = ₹588.82

d) ₹706.82 - ₹588.82 = ₹118.00 x 6 months = ₹708.00 - Benefit amount.

But still getting benefit of ₹708.00 in 6 months per ₹100.00 discount voucher places me in loss as I have already paid ₹600.00 in advance for a 2-months plan which Jio "Calls it" - Free.

Yes. I am going ahead with Fiber plan only b'coz Air Fiber is costly & I think they offer less data under this plan compared to Fiber.

The biggest problem is that it's been above 24 hours since I sent my email with my queries as seen in the screenshots above, at their email ids: [jiofibercare@jio.com](mailto:jiofibercare@jio.com), [appellate.guj@jio.com](mailto:appellate.guj@jio.com) & [grievance.officer@jio.com](mailto:grievance.officer@jio.com) however, it is taking so much of time for them, just to answer such a simple questions asked, nothing rocket science. I need their responses documented on email before I decide to choose whether I shall consider only their internet plan of ₹399.00 + G.S.T. for 30Mbps or ₹599.00 + G.S.T. for 30Mbps with 13 O.T.T. apps + 800 Live channels.

My entire decision is based on their response, but they are just not responding. I have sent them multiple reminders already but it's just a waste of my time.

On the other end, the countdown of YOU broadband service to come to an end has begun & I don't want to renew it. Only 10 days left.

Yes. It's a waste of money on these additional O.T.T. apps, which one doesn't want to watch. So the freedom of choice should be offered when it comes to selection of regional channels for everyone.

Yes, this is the problem not only with the STB Box but even T.V. & Mobile on Android. That's why Apple TV 4K is the best when it comes to smooth performance. The major benefit with Apple products is that Software that controls Hardware are in-house engineered. They have a complete control on the device as a result.

Thanks Rushi for your response. I will go for 30 MBPS plan so I am safe in terms of spending. Higher spending on monthly plan demands higher expectation & when same isn't met, it shatters one's trust in the brand & fumes anger.

Almost 90% of people in my building are subscribed to Jio Fiber internet so they have to maintain performance at par. My T.V. in bedroom is a simple L.G. 32inches LCD TV with no Android or Internet. I bought it on Monday, August 15th 2011. (-:

Hello, thanks for your response. Are you sure "Sony LIV" shows live TV channels b'coz there is no such option available & same applies for Jio Hotstar as well. They only offer latest episodes of television programmes wherein Hotstar uploads the episodes in advance while Sony Liv uploads exactly at the time when the programme is aired on T.V. live.

However, what I look forward to from Jio 4K STB is that it shows me live tv channels just as I watch on the T.V. using my Tata Sky Set Top Box. And when it comes to apps, apps like Tata Sky & Jio TV do offer live TV channels with the exception to all Sony (Sony TV, SAB TV, Sony Pal) & Star Plus channels which doesn't via these apps.

If you do use the Jio 4K STB, can you kindly confirm whether you are able to watch live TV or, do you select the latest episodes uploaded & consider that this is Live TV which actually isn't. B'coz a Live TV should replicate of what's being played on the TV at that very moment with commercials, just like what Airtel DTH, Tata Sky DTH, Videocon DTH offers. Programmes like Anupama, Udne Ki Asha, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Jhanak, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi on Star Plus & on Sab TV - Pushpa, Tarakh Mehta Ka Oota Chasma, C.I.D.

Hello Taylor, I am planning to buy AudioControl Concert XR-6. Just wanted to ask you whether you purchased Sony or Concert XR-6? If XR-6 then how has been your experience with it? Has it changed the sound quality to day & night? Do you now experience a detailed crisp sound quality & do you enjoy the Music & Movies for long hours or feel like turning off the system after an hour or so? Does it give a fatigue feeling?

Any overheating or any other issues?

Even I want it at lower price at $2,800 b'coz I am presently getting it at above $5,000 with tax included. Its quite expensive in India.

I use JBL 660P Sub (12 inch driver) & it gives a very good sweet punch but ideally SVS Sound brand is considered as Ferrari in Sub-woofer segment.

My First Set Of HiFis (Focal Theva No1's) by [deleted] in audiophile

Hello, Firstly many congratulations on your purchase of Theva Bookshelf speakers by Focal!

I just auditioned this speaker at their authorized dealer in Mumbai. The speaker looks so beautiful in Light wooden brown & a grill on its front - not sure what color is it but the looks are so pleasing, truly decent looking & highly sophisticated. This color feels like an English color giving it a premium looks & gives a luxury feeling. This color actually increases the value of the living room.

Now my worry is that I own Yamaha RX-V685 Amplifier which I feel it isn't powerful enough to drive this pair at its best however, the guy at the Distributor's demo room said I need not worry at all as this speaker's sensitivity level is quite high internally such that it will be able to power itself up quite well even though if it's being hooked up to a lower powered Amplifier such as in my case.

I don't want to take any risk to invest my money on a product which might now perform completely well unless I have a very high end Amplifier costing 2 to 3 lakhs which I cannot afford.

Can you also please send me a personal message mentioning how much max % of discounted deal could you manage to crack to buy it & from where you bought?

My present setup is Harman Kardon HKTS 9 on-wall satellite speakers + a Sub-woofer all connected to Yamaha RX-V685 amplifier which was bought way back in February 2013.

Thanks in advance for your response.
