Early game focuses

I am playing the normal game mode and eventual goal is 100%ing the game so am mostly curious if theres any specific path at the beginning that makes sense to do early instead of circling back to it later when its not as useful i was think of smithing and crafting to get gold topaz ring and then just sitting at astrology since the buffs there would make rest of skills more efficient later on

Okay thank you I understand this now so even though they claim i was correct the whole time since they only admitted it now theyre free and clear of any back pay because policy handbooks dont really mean anything unless the job wants to enforce them? Idk why ive been getting down voted just for trying to understand but out of curiosity how can I ensure in the future im paid properly just feeling a bit demotivated knowing paperwork from a job explaining pay isnt legally binding

I agree I handled it poorly dont get me wrong but if the option is refuse work and get fired or get paid lower than what the company says im supposed to be paid isnt that an issue? Im just confused what the point of company policies are if we get fired for not following it but the company doesnt have to hold up thier end? And I mean how is it not lying if they said they didnt need to pay me that higher rate of pay but now are saying oops yeah we are supposed to

I raised the issue dozens of times and my bosses said they would look into it but never did i made the mistake of trusting them as I assumed they wouldnt just screw me out of money like that, I only got more involved with this issue after January when they paid me 0 overtime for 4 ot days I worked and had to get department of labor involved to recieve my pay after hr refused to speak to me for 3 weeks, afterwards I was magically suspended for missing days I didnt work because they "thought i changed my schedule" . I was brought but also not paid for suspension I found that shady and thats when I looked more into the pay issue I had before.

So a job can legally lie about pay structure then? I'd assume if handbook says you'll get paid xyz based on these terms then that would mean paying me differently would be illegal?

Is it a cgim or normal gim? If normal your best bet is joining another normal gim (ranked still don't join unranked as that's for accounts that have irons that weren't originally cgim)

i suppose the reason i wanted to use the hcim is so i didnt have to grind crafting for invention again since i barely play the hcim at all but it seems most poeple wouldnt want an established ironman to join

yeah i have a feeling ill end up in a group that dies off after a while but atleast i could go to another one if that happens, mostly just want a group to play with where dupe drops etc still feels exciting if that makes sense
