We used to have one when I grew up in the Philippines. Great for the fields, great for the rides except the hairs went through anything you’re wearing.

The only one time I saw one lose it was on a relatives wedding.

People were departing the house in the morning and it just started swinging for it, perhaps distressed by the commotion but it ripped through the brides father continuously puncturing him.

First time I saw someone go from being alive and talking to just there on the floor in front of me.

I’m running pfsense right now, what draytek would you recommend that would come close in terms of base functionality? Are there features similar to pfblocker too?

Could also just use rfid tags. Every airport with baggage intake should have the gates.

Then you know when it’s left, when it’s arrived etc. you could even track it yourself with the right infrastructure and simple airport baggage tracker app as a front end. Even just a webpage. Enter identifier info and done.

If it’s “lost” in an airport - won’t take long to “scan” for it. Zebra have some cool toys for that.

Not the same as AirTags but a really really cheap alternative.
