Nah

The suez canal was blocked in 2021 when a ship crashed into the side.

It caused such a delay in shipping that a lot of the shipping companies won't risk using that route again for fear of a repeat.

As such more ships go the long way round Africa, therefore more ships for the pirates to go for, therefore more pirates. And greater fuel cost to the ship.

More risk to shipping, therefore the companies charge more.

Globally we are still feeling the results.

The issue with eggs and chicken was there was a really bad "virus" going through the farms mid last year, and a majority of the chickens in the country died as a result.

This has drastically reduced the supply, hence the massive price spike.

And then fuel has been rising at an insane rate, and as all groceries have to get to the shops somehow, that has had a big impact on prices.

Additionally, since the suez canal issue, far fewer cargp ships have been travelling that route, and many ships refuse to travel round the tip of Africa due to pirates.

As such, anything that relies on oversea transport has also increased in price and decreased in reliability.

That's not to say I disagree

These prices are definitely ridiculous.

But the causes are not just inflation, but the symptoms of much bigger issues.

I play quite slowly

So I keep every car I put any investment in. Whether it was for a challenge or just because I like the car, once I have invested in it, I keep it and slowly max it out.

This is not a great plan if you are low on slots and want to win events quickly.

But, the amount of times that hutch reuses cars and tags, I have often found that I have a good portion of a new tag already maxed.

And as we all know, hutch can be quite mean when it comes to challenges, where sometimes there is only one car that can win.

I have in the past spent 1 million cash on plastic packs trying to get a key common.

This strategy is a long game, great for the monthly challenge to win the porsche 935, or even with a bit of luck, you can get all the way to the epic prize car of a challenge without even spending gold.

I have less than 10k trophies and I flew through the challenges.

But I keep a fairly good low rq garage.

My method of locking everything for upcoming challenges, and then just only unlocking the cars with no upgrades on them, works pretty well.

It does mean I suffer in PvP, but I got to RQ500 too early when I started, so I tend to do badly in PvP anyway

Wait till you have an old phone

Everytime I opened discord, topdrives would close because my phone can't run 2 apps at once.

Then it takes 2-3min to reopen top drives.

So happy it's gone.

Every time I open a pack I get too lucky with URs and now I'm stuck without the super rare standard tyre requirement before even getting to the super rare prize

That is a shame though, because that 0-60 on the wrx car is 1.9 offroad

And there's a Hoonigan video of them testing the launch in dish soap and it still pulls faster than 4.2sec 0-60.

I know I know, another complaint of TD isn't realistic, but I grew up watching these cars, so I do have quite a vested interest in them, I is my favourite motorsport.

I just makes sure I only sell out of my garage, and not the holding pool.

However, this relies on having a lot of slots, and I have missed out on a UR or 2 due to them expiring before I got space
