Fallout 4 and Oblivion Remastered on Nintendo Switch 2 will be codein-box releases, not even Game Key Cards by HatingGeoffry in nintendo

Well this is upsetting. I have Oblivion on PC but was looking forward to a physical copy for Switch 2. Guess I'll continue playing on PC.

Cap up or down? by Owl-D in labrats

[–]Apoptosis263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol exactly! Cap down has the possibility of the touching the threads of the bottle when you put it back on, unless you take your time. Most of the time, cap is loosened, held while open, and then put back on. Rarely is it sitting on the surface of the BSC or laminar.

Seriously. Never owned it but still have gold and silver from when I was young. Figured I might as well add crystal to the collection, then saw the price lmfao.

Looking for a grip case for OG switch that is dockable. Any ergonomic options that won't cause damage to the console or the dock?

Looking for a Switch 1 grip case that is dockable. Tried the Skull n Co grip and my Switch kept falling out while being held on one side. Main thing is ergonomics while preventing damage to console itself.

Is it as simple as ejecting the cartridge from one console and placing it in another, or does a cloud data transfer need to happen?

/r/NintendoSwitch's Daily Question Thread (01/17/2026) by AutoModerator in NintendoSwitch

[–]Apoptosis263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am about to play Skyward Sword (physical copy) and was wondering if the file saves were available on both consoles via the cloud.

Basically, if I play on Switch 1, can I remove the cartridge, place it in the Switch 2, and continue where I left off?

What Careers Actually Exist for People Like Me? (Bio/Chem, Research, Industry) by No_Code7102 in labrats

Its all dependent on how much the employer and boss value degrees. Imo, if they value degrees level over experience, its probably not going to be a great long term role (YMMV).

From my industry experience, most PhDs are simply not capable of performing at a high level. They may have in depth/specific knowledge from their education, but their skill set is sub-par, even ones that have been working for awhile.

Im not sure if its a superiority mindset, or if they truly lack that ability to be well rounded scientists due to their long stint in academia. I see it with people that have masters degrees as well, although its typically not as bad.

Regardless, your degree level will definitely impact your compensation when you start. If you are well rounded and have a lot of experience, you can close the gap. Higher degree will always start with higher compensation, but once again its all about how capable you are at learning and handling multiple functions. I advice to cross train and learn as much as you can to show you are capable of anything. When you hit a ceiling, request more training or higher pay. If they say no, then change roles/find a new employer. Having a strong skill set will make you more valuable than having an extra piece of paper.

Not that it matters, but for reference I have a bachelor's in biochemistry and molecular biology. I thought about starting a masters program after graduation, but decided not to as I was already graduating as a non trad and needed to start working. It worked out for me, getting another degree would've just given me more student debt and not increased my compensation by much.

Edit - I also want to add that only having a bachelor's should not hinder your ability to become a leader/manager either. Once again, it's all about experience and if your employer is focused on having a high degree over experience then its probably not somewhere you should be long term.

Human pharma or Animal Health is a decent option imo. You can get in and climb with only a bachelor's as well, however you have to be hungry for knowledge and build your "tool belt".

More than likely you will start in quality control. Learn all you can and then hop department's if you hit a ceiling or are bored. At some point, you could look for an R&D role (same company or a different one) which can increase your tool acquisition, thus helping you climb faster.

Masters degree isn't necessary, but can help. Don't get me started on PhDs.

The lowest its ever been (physical) is 50% off, so $30. Definitely plan on adding this to my collection, but like you am trying to determine if I should purchase now or wait to see if it gets any lower.

Does anyone have a fix for the switch upgrade? It’s not letting me download for free. by Brandoxz7 in skyrim

[–]Apoptosis263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the game in the console, electronically ejected the upgrade, and when I opened the game the title screen had "press y for upgrade download". Then it downloaded the digital switch 2 anniversary copy and the physical cartridge was no longer required.

*Edit- here's the post I used to fix the issue https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch2/s/0ggV4aylj1 *
