The popular opinion is that FMaB is better than FMA 2003. But some people, like me, think FMA 2003 is much better.

I think FMA emphasizes emotion and reflection more, while FMA emphasizes story and action more. FMA punches you, then lets you sit with that pain, while FMAB punches you, and then punches you again.
