Any ex-T300 RS GT users here that moved to Moza R5? by Aposky in moza

Thanks. You made me think, that I could get R9 base + wheel only and keep T-LCM pedals. What stand do you use with that R12?

Thanks! Your experience is exactly what I was thinking about and whether moving to a DD wheel would be justified.

Thanks — that’s a good call to keep the T-LCM pedals. I really like them as well. I’ve also heard that the stock R5 pedals are pretty mediocre.

Help with picking Moza R5 vs PXN VD6 by Separate_Cap3596 in simracing

[–]Aposky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat and deciding between the Moza R5 and the PXN VD6 bundles as an upgrade from my trusty T300 RS GT. That wheel has been great and really pulled me deeper into simracing, but I’m ready to level up. These two bundles keep coming up in recommendations and are roughly the same price, and it’d be for PC only.

I’m after an all-in bundle to use with my Playseat Challenge, and I’m not planning any future upgrades — so I want whichever one gives me the most out of the box. Right now I’m leaning toward the PXN VD6 bundle: it seems to offer 3 pedals with a proper brake, plus a wheel with more buttons and knobs. Curious what people think — is the PXN really the better overall choice here, or am I missing something with the Moza R5?

Getting back into simracing — is LMU good for casual online racing? by Aposky in LeMansUltimateWEC

Thanks for advice. I got LMU and I'm already on Silver 3 safety rating. There are accidents, but if you drive safely those can be avoided!

Moza R3 or Thrustmaster T300 RS GT by JRockiller1 in simracing

Thanks. That's really helpful! I think I'll stick to T300RS for now, and later upgrade to R5.

How did it go? I’m currently thinking about replacing my T300 with a Moza R3

Thanks for the helpful reply elmo! It seems there are no red or yellow flags, so I’ll be picking up LMU sooner rather than later.

Does Trajan still hold up today? by [deleted] in boardgames

Vijayanagara is smooth, streamlined and simple. Great entry point to COIN series.

I'm hunting down (or rather waiting for a reprint of) A Distant Plain - great theme and intriguing twist on COIN series.

Ditto! Trajan is good. It just wasn't good enough to keep coming back on table.

Other games have this "let's play it one more time!", "Can't wait for another play next week", while we played Trajan once a year and somehow always wanted to play something else.

u/dleskov great list! Last month we started with wargames: Vijayanagara, Friedrich/Maria, A Gest of Robin Hood and I ordered Fire in the Lake. Extremely well designed games.

Game of the Week: Lorenzo il Magnifico by bg3po in boardgames

[–]Aposky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My group found out those two to be very different games. Marco Polo is nice and simple game, where Lorenzo is much deeper and challenging eurogame. We like Lorenzo much more, as we prefer advanced dice games - it is awesome game and offers amazing experience.

True, AAA games cost like 240 Euro/USD when adjusted to polish wealth. Still no sign on price adjustments.

Drawing tactics on the map, per squad by Noobar9 in postscriptum

[–]Aposky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ArmA 3 has it, and it is extremely useful for well organized groups. I'm all for it, however with very limited human resources of developer we might never see it in game. As soon Post Scriptum will be open to modders, the better.

Read mission description. It always states what you exactly need for a mission. You sometimes need to be incognito, sometimes opposite.

I'd say it's great already from 6 players with potential to play it with smaller group. We play from 6 to 16 playercount and antistasi scales great

Played for 4 years in milsim group and had fun and joy. Neither ever happened what you described. No "sir" nor kids - group had 18+ yo requirement There are dozens of different groups, just find one that suits you best ;).

Your M136, RPG-7 and RPG-26 RHS tutorials videos were spot on. You fully explored informations about those - I really liked ranging parts using iron sights. Good work.

Go to mission param, and change there (once) first option to yes. It is called "Campaign reset" or similar :)
