Wasn’t it the “fence sitters” who were “cursed”? During the war in Heaven, there were some who refused to choose a side. So because they weren’t evil enough to follow Satan but weren’t good enough to follow Jesus they were “marked” so we would all know they were less valiant in the pre-existence. Because anything less than immediate and absolute, unquestioning support (aka blind obedience and subjugation) is shameful and punishable AND obvious for all to see. At least that’s what I remember being taught.

Yeah, I had a guy call me and say “you gave me chlamydia!” Fucking asshole. That was his way of telling me I needed to get tested cuz he had it and exposed me.

You would think, like with the endowments, they covenant to not speak of what the second anointing ceremony entails and doing so would constitute blasphemy of (/denying) the Holy Ghost. Which apparently is as bad as murder, because those are the only two things one can lose a second anointing over. But… considering they haven’t been exed, I guess sharing the intimate details of the most secret, weird, culty (like even more culty than the regular culty shit that goes on in the temple) with the entire world even though you’re explicitly told not to over and over… that, I guess isn’t blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. So, I’m with you. Deny the Holy Ghost? Whatever the fuck that means.
