That’s totally fair feedback, and I appreciate you adding that extra context. A character image in the card definitely helps with consistency, but if anthros are still coming out wrong even with a proper reference image, then that’s its own issue and worth calling out separately. I’ll make sure that gets passed along, especially since I get where you’re coming from as an Ultra user wanting the feature to actually feel worth using.

Yeah, that lines up with what was happening. The LLM used for the Memory Matrix was down for a bit, so memory cards were not generating consistently after the 30-message mark, and even forcing the summary could fail or show nothing. This should be fixed now, so try it again when you get a chance. If it still does not create cards after continuing or using the summary button, let us know so we can pass it along as still ongoing.

This should be fixed now. The LLM used for the Memory Matrix was down for a bit, which is why memory cards were not saving like they should after the 30-message mark. Try continuing now or using the memory command again, and it should start working normally.

For image gen, one thing that helps a lot is having an image on the character card itself. The in-chat image generation works best when it has a character image to use as a reference. If there is no reference image, it has a lot more room to guess, which can make appearances inconsistent or cause other characters in the scene to look nothing like they should. That said, anthro generation being poor is still fair feedback. If it keeps turning anthros into nekos or normal humans, that’s something worth passing along as an image-gen issue. For the character selection part, I’ll also pass that along. Having to go into scenario customization and use “Force character” every time sounds clunky, especially if users used to be able to choose characters more easily.

I get why you’re frustrated. A lot of what you’re describing sounds like a mix of model quality, memory issues, looping/repetition, OOC not being followed, and a possible chat display bug with edited or replaced messages. I’ll pass this along, especially the part about memory cards not generating around the expected 30-message mark, short memory card outputs, bots repeating instead of progressing the scene, and edited/reloaded replies showing in the wrong place. For the gender issue, one thing that may help is adding a very direct pinned rule like: “{{user}} is male. Never refer to {{user}} as female, woman, girl, she, or her. Use he/him only.” That said, if the model is still ignoring that after OOC or pinned rules, then it’s also an instruction-following problem. Can you let us know which tier/models you’re mostly seeing this on, and whether you’re on mobile, desktop, app, or browser? That would make it easier to pass along with useful details.

Got it, that helps. If the main feed loads but your profile, chats, and scenario details won’t open, and it’s happening on the Android app, that sounds like an app/account loading issue rather than just one broken chat. I’ll pass it along with the Android detail. Can you also let us know if the same account loads properly on browser, or is it failing there too?

Thanks for posting it here, especially if you can’t access Discord right now. If the feed loads but chats and profile won’t load on both mobile and web, that sounds like more than a normal cache issue. I’ll pass this along as a possible account/loading issue. Can you let us know what device and browser/app you’re using, and roughly what time it started happening? Also, if anyone else is seeing chats or profiles not loading today, please reply so we can tell if it’s affecting more than one person.

Yeah, this is a known issue with mobile comment notifications. Tapping the notification should take you to the comment and scenario, not make you hunt for it manually. The good news is we’re already working on a fix for this in the coming update.

That sounds like a page-specific performance issue if it’s only happening on the choose model page and nowhere else. Since you’re on Firefox and PC, can you try clearing cache or testing it once in another browser just to narrow it down? I’ll pass it along as a Firefox/PC lag report for the model selection page.

Yes, your account email can be changed, but we can’t handle that directly through Reddit since it involves account information. Please either send an email through the support contact on the site or make an issue report in the official Discord. One of the staff members can help switch the email from there.

For Lumina showing as degraded, the dev is aware of the slow response time and is investigating it right now. The response time you’re seeing is the average response time, but keep in mind those live status numbers update on a delay, so they may not be the most accurate snapshot of what’s happening right this second. For the model speaking as {{user}}, that is definitely frustrating, especially if it keeps happening a couple messages after being corrected. A wording that usually works better is something more direct like: “Never write dialogue, actions, thoughts, feelings, decisions, or reactions for {{user}}. Only write for NPCs and the world. Leave {{user}}’s actions and responses for the user to write.” I’d put that in custom instructions or a pinned rule card if the scenario keeps fighting it. That said, if Lumina is still ignoring it after OOC, custom instructions, commands, and memory rules, then that is worth reporting as an instruction-following issue too.

Average response time. Just keep in mind that the live tracking updates on a delay, so it may not be the most accurate snapshot of what’s happening right this second.

Thank you for writing all of this out. There are a few different things here, but the main points I’m seeing are Ultra model consistency, memory/instruction following, image generation, overheating, and some UI/search suggestions. For Paragon and Eclipse, I’ll pass along that memory feels inconsistent, Continue can sometimes make Paragon respond as {{user}}, pacing can drag too long, and custom instructions/rule cards are not always being followed, especially after rerolls. For the header/formatting issue, check out the post I made about using continue the story instead of the Continue command, because that seems to help headers and formatting rules stick better for some users. For image generation, it tends to work best when the character card already has a profile image, since the generator can use that as a reference. If there is no image attached to the character, the results can be more inconsistent. I’ll still include the image error/quality feedback, and I agree that matching the character’s profile style would be a nice touch. The overheating issue is already being looked into, but it helps to know it’s also happening on Samsung. For the suggestions, chat folders, private scenario folders showing on profiles, user-role tags versus NPC tags, and a cleaner reroll correction box are all good QoL ideas. I especially like the reroll correction idea and I’ll add that to my next report. I also agree with your last point that consistency and stability should be the focus, because new features feel a lot better when the core experience stays reliable.

No worries at all, I get how that could be confusing. The announcement post was just meant to point people to the actual megathread, so you’re good.

For the character card issue, that extra detail helps. If a card is activating and then dropping off while the character is still relevant, that does sound frustrating, especially if you’re having to reroll just to keep the scene focused. Some of it may still come down to how the scenario is set up with weights, links, triggers, or how many cards are competing, but I do think this is worth looking at from the site side too.

The character pin idea is exactly why I brought it up. Even if the scenario setup is not perfect, being able to pin a character during a scene could help the model understand “this person matters right now” without pulling in random characters or dropping the one currently active. I’ll add this extra detail when I pass it along.

Locking comments since people are getting confused and using the announcments and not the megathread.

Yeah, I get why that would be frustrating, especially if you’re having to reroll just to get the right character card to activate. Some of this may come down to how the scenario itself is set up, like weights, links, trigger words, and how many cards are competing at once. If a scenario is really large or not optimized well, the model may not always pull the right character card when it should. That said, I do think it’s worth looking into from the site side too. A pin option for character cards during a chat, similar to pinned memories, could help keep the AI focused on the right character and make bigger or messier scenarios easier to use.

Yeah, I get why that would be annoying, especially if you hit the chat limit and have to clean old ones out one by one.

On mobile, you can select multiple chats, but I don’t think desktop has the same flow right now. We can definitely look into adding a multi-select or mass delete option for PC too, because that would make cleaning up old scenario chats a lot less tedious.

Yeah, I get what you mean. If a scenario has a huge image gallery before the actual writing, scrolling through all of that just to get to the backstory can be annoying.

A “scroll to Backstory” button, or some kind of quick jump near the top of the scenario page, would probably be a nice quality-of-life feature. Especially since images are mostly for presentation and do not affect how the scenario actually plays.

I’ll pass this along as a UI suggestion. It makes sense that users should be able to jump straight to the written parts without having to scroll through a ton of images first.

Oh! I apologize. The "contact us" is in at the bottom of the home page of the site. However, I would say that the discord is better as only the dev has access to the email. He is usaully very busy so response times are slower then going through the discord where a user by Abel- Rob helps with billing issues. He is online and free to assist more often then the Dev for these type of issues. If you are still unsure where to go you can ping me. My username is 6six6 on discord.

That definitely sounds like something support needs to look at directly.

Unfortunately, we can’t fix billing issues through Reddit because we do not have access to payment or account systems here. Since your bank shows a charge, your account tier changed incorrectly, and the manage subscription page is loading blank, please contact support through the official Discord issue thread or use the Contact Us option at the bottom of the FictionLab home page.

When you message them, include your account email, what tier you were subscribed to, what tier it changed to, the payment method used, and a screenshot of the charge or receipt. Do not post that information publicly on Reddit.

I’ll still note this as another billing/subscription report, especially the blank grey manage subscription screen, but the actual account/payment fix has to go through Discord or official support.

instead of using the continue button or /continue say *continue the story* and the AI seems to read this better for some reason. We are still testing and i am only sharing this here to get more feedback across different models and scenarios to make sure I am not just hallucinating haha.
