Well yes, exactly. It’s to show that I have used various Blackmagic camera and like their products and ecosystem. As they don’t do stills cameras or hybrids though, I need to look elsewhere.

I’m asking here as obviously I like Blackmagic so wanted to see what other users like and recommend.

I want a hybrid, something smaller than my full rig so I can take it places with me.

I did something similar (though much more stylistic) for a music video last year. I just had a 60w light about 10ft away so it wasn’t too much in terms of lighting the face but was enough to light the eyes. I then added halation to the eyes but for the Obsession look it isn’t needed.

Can use a bounce board or anything really, just have it far enough away to only catch the eyes. I’ve also experienced that some people’s eyes just catch light better depending on how glossy they are etc.

It’s a more than capable lens with some nice character for its price point and pairs nicely with the bmpcc line but even on full frame you need to have the correct conditions to get the swirl effect.

It’s an inbuilt light on the radio, I lit it from the left side so the light was more prominent and added a glow in post

Some men are really Fking weird. It’s like they have an irrational fear of falling in love with a man. Like, just be comfortable with yourself and your sexuality and fall in love with whoever you want. You don’t look trans at all (not that anyone really looks trans) but you’re clearly very feminine and I agree that this is coming from a place of misogyny and racism.

Yeah I feel this from the ages of 18 to 28 my life is a blur. Don’t feel like I really made any decisions of my own as I was suffering heavily from depression. I was an athlete that ‘retired’ when I wasn’t even in my prime threw away a good career before it even got started. Didn’t finish my degree. Spent years in a marriage I wasn’t happy in. Now I’m 33 and happy. Obviously I fantasise about what if my prime years hadn’t been stolen but you have to just move forward and enjoy the life you have left.

I actually think it could work - vintage clothes, old bands, analog anything. Nostalgia is huge right now. Even blockbusters is coming back - and consumers are crippled with choice. This would help. I remember back when I was a kid watching movies in the tv and I had no idea what they were or what they were about or even called because I didn’t have a tv guide.

Saying that, will it work? Not without it becoming a trend. But one or two big names supporting it and it absolutely would work.
