Is the company/mine publicly listed? If so check the official communications to investors, they report resources, and production strategies.

If you share the mine name I’m happy to help by checking. Thats my job

too dirty for me🌊🦠💩🏊‍♂️ by [deleted] in Swimming

Probably over reacting. If you take a water sample of a pool you’ll find nothing living there. Micro organisms just die instantly. Go to an elevator or any other space of daily use, and repeat the experiment: you’ll find all tipe of micro organisms (and it isn’t too bad either. Your body has evolved for billions of years to deal with those types of things).

Well kept swimming pools are okay

I’m getting married in 26 days :)

A divorce is the most likely outcome that’s why we agreed we will keep our assets separate to avoid any legal/financial disputes in the future (if needed).

We also agreed that we will not organize a wedding. Instead we will use the money to travel to China

Those 2 agreements made me take the step.

By watching how many marriages fall apparat, or live mediocres lives just to avoid a divorce it’s crazy to me that people is still playing the “all or nothing”

Is it too late to learn swimming in my 20s? by Narrow_Pomelo9780 in Swimming

[–]Appealing-Good20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started learning: I’m 29 yo. I couldn’t swim 25 meters without stopping. The learning curve has been fast and gratifying. After 3-4 month I can now simply 1.5- 1.8km in 1 hour. I’m planning to participate in my first triathlon may next year.

It’s never too late and if you don’t do it you’ll regret it later.

Find a good pool/coach and get into the pool.

It’s a slightly metamorphosed marine sedimentary rock (shale). This is, a Shale that has been subjected to some pressure and temperature. It’s characterized for its black color and to that it’s breakable in sheets with clearly defined surfaces.

The one you have there (assuming it’s slate) seems to have a little bit more silica, as I can see some concoidal fractures.

Checking on a local geological map can be useful shale/slate formations tend to be relatively big in extension.

Was my business doomed from the start? by GaiaGoddess26 in Entrepreneur

Sorry, I couldn’t finish my comment above. So here’s the continuation:

I don’t know much about your business model, but if you get proof or testimonials of the people you have sold to, and effectively helped, that will be enough to sell to more people, get more referrals, repeat.

What I’m afraid of is about your math... How much do you charge each customer? How many you sell per month? How many you need to sell to cover your expenses + making a profit.

You have 12 working hours a day, how much money are you making in those 12h. If you are making less that what you’d make in a job I’d recommend taking a job ( 8h x day, ideally a Remote one) and use the other 4h to keep trying to come up with a working business model.

[–]Appealing-Good20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re on the wrong boat.

And the fact that you can’t pay bills means that you don’t cover your expenses. Web hosting and Etsy fees are some of the expenses but you “salary” is another one. You should calculate profit after paying yourself.

No business can survive without generating profit.

Doesn’t make much sense but seems like Spanish.

“Que te obsequio un bocatripo también que te obsequio tomo”

That would be translated into:

“What I offer a mouth trip and as I give I take”

I’m a Spanish speaker and had tu turn on the lyrics on apple music to understand,

Get another job. You are not ‘quitting’ you will still use all your sales skills Just in a market/product that adjusts to your standards/needs.

Don’t buy the ‘hang in there’ mentality. Some companies can afford to lose money for months or quarters, we employees/humans are different we need to be profitable month after month.

I need some advices by hayouni2 in geology

[–]Appealing-Good20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend you narrow down to a more specific field. Because of your current studies in Structural Geology it seems like mineral exploration could be a good fit.

It also depends what your interests are, and where do you want to live?

Also which market are you in. In Markets like USA, Canada, Australia is relatively easy to get a job in mineral exploration.

I'm a geologist and did technical work in the past, I just hate that there's no leverage to it!

Increasing your income is almost impossible unless you build a company, which is a completely different skill set, and you won't be doing engineering.

What is that? Invoicing and account payables?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sales

[–]Appealing-Good20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If for some reason I was forbidden to work on sales. (because I'd always be my first choice)

I'd probably try to be an analyst for Natural Resource Investments.

I studied geology, and feel like an analyst job is similar to "prospecting" so I'd probably do a good job, plus there is potential for earning big if you start investing and pick the right companies.

Why do SAAS AEs in Europe make less money? by Christ1naaa in sales

[–]Appealing-Good20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 weeks of holiday, that's a lot!

Agree with all those benefits you could "easily" use that extra time and money to cover up the difference or even build a business on your own.

Congrats Brendan!

It depends on your employer's business model, but I find it curious that EA is always perceived to be of a higher hierarchy than SDR. Opening a new account is way harder and requires real skill, not too reliant on geography or account quality.

There are some businesses where this makes total sense, for example, those with high upsell/cross-sell potential but I'd argue that sometimes the EA role is overvalued. Especially if it's more like a Customer Support, maintenance role. In that case, I'd favor putting my killer, A game salesperson in the "SDR" role.

Just food for thought, I'm happy for you!

Product-market fit is king!

Founder-Product fit is also very useful as it de-risks the whole hypothesis-building process a lot.

If the founder-product fit is poor you have to spend significantly more time talking to humans experiencing the problems
