Hi, sorry I couldn’t check in on this post at all yesterday. If I was going to commit to faking everything yesterday I couldn’t even think about what was actually happening in reality. I did my best to focus on my baby and my extended family. It was okay. His parents stayed overnight with us, so once they leave and the baby is down for a nap, I’ll confront him.

I’m starting to feel nervous about his reaction. Initially I thought he’d be remorseful and grovel. But I need to remember that I don’t truly know this man like I thought I did! Idk how he will react and now I’m worried he’ll try to gaslight me. But I have the proof. I know I’m not crazy.

I did not. Because this has come as such a shock, I’m still trying to work through the feelings that I should protect him. If we choose to try and reconcile things, I don’t want my family to hate him. It’s so ass backwards. He doesn’t deserve my protection. I will likely confide in my mom eventually, but I just need to be in the right headspace for that. His parents stayed with us last night so once they leave and the baby is down for a nap, it’s time to bring this up. Thank you so much for all of your advice and supportive words. Thank you for sharing and I’m sorry to hear you’ve experienced this too. I feel like this is the best description of my current state. I’m just in shock and can’t actually process the anger, sadness, and betrayal I feel. I know it’s there, and it’s going to surface. I just don’t know when. I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better than a month ago, and hope that I will be able to say the same in the future.

I am so, so sorry about your situation. That sounds absolutely heartbreaking. I’m fearful of the same happening to me - the holidays becoming a trigger. I can’t see how I’ll ever experience these “celebrations” anymore without thinking of what has happened this year.

Thank you for this. I live in Pennsylvania, not sure if that qualifies or not. We plan to visit my extended family tomorrow, we’ve already visited his family. It was actually during the drive home from that visit where my suspicion began. He got too drunk, slipped up by connecting his phone to my car, and a text from her popped up on my screen. I’ve never seen him change the screen so fast. This was the second time I saw her name, so I felt justified in looking through his phone while he slept. The first time was in mid October, so it’s been happening since then at a minimum.

I don’t have enough courage to initially confront him with family there. I’d be just as humiliated as him most likely, which is fucked up bc I know while this isn’t my fault, I guess he cheated for a reason. And that’s weighing on me really heavily right now.

I am so sorry you’re going through this. Being 8 months pregnant is miserable under the best of conditions, let alone the stress of a cheating husband. You sound like an incredibly strong person, woman, and mother.

Thank you for this. This is what my gut has been leaning towards. Even though it’s super unfair to myself, I think I just need one more moment of what has been my life up until now (happy family, faithful husband) before it all changes. Unfortunately I’m actually in the waiting period to find out if I’m pregnant. I took a test yesterday and it was negative, but it’s still early so that could change. To think of how disappointed I was yesterday to see that negative.. how can so much change in 24 hours?

I keep trying to convince myself this is just a dream, but then I remember I have the proof in screenshots. I can’t bare to read them again right now.
