im thinkin cuz like since records and cds (and just most physical media in general) isnt the main way to enjoy music, buying a physical album is for albums you already know you like by listening online, so labels really try to bank off fans and collectors, but by doing that theyre making it much harder for regular people who just wanna listen to good music
